Plenty of sferics coming in now from the stuff up north.
well thats a suprise !!!!

I feel today will be extremely frustrating for me - I might even be able to see the storms in the distance to my west, but the wind coming from the North Sea will probably prevent any convection in the NE.
LOL you make me laugh , frustrating you want to come to the SE mate , you have had more storms in the last month than i have seen in the last 6 years

thunderstorm alley Lincolnshire getting the action AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!
-
LOL and the UK is struggling to reach 70f , one couldnt make it up
-
given what i have read and seen a Estofex level 3 would of been justified today for the UK and Nicks Synopsis aswell the highest level , i think some parts of the UK have seen a once in 50 year event today

According to the MetOffice London will hit 28-29*C today, currently at 24*C at 10am. With the temperature range showing that 30*C is not out of the question, I take it the trough is going through now with the cold front behind it.
Crazy , just crazy we are in the warmest area , nearest the continent , right in the plume , what do we get ........... naffall
-
26 degrees forecast yesterday for today (weds), silly Carol now had 22 , one would think with a starting temp in London of 20 degrees at 7am.......that 30 would be achievable today .. and as for the storms ,im still scrating my head as to why most of the action is up North

Its about time the north was better than the south it dont happen too often!
who was it that said come April the Azores high will dissappear ? for 7 months.... it never ceases to amaze me ,im sure someone is controlling the weather just to pee us off here in the UK , wether its winter or summer .its so depressing......
-
frustrated yes i was , but its free so im sure i will get over it . is there a banner on the homepage that says forums are down ? or interrupted ?

think Aylesbury was right in the core 40 mins ago , we had 2cm of level hail . 6 or so almost above lightning discharges . all went rather mad for 25 mins .minor flooding now though

edit nice lightning seen 15.20

these sort of soft hail showers have been very rare in spring over the last several years ,given we are having a proper season this year they are nice too see/observe . the way they splatter on impact.

Thank you for the kind words.
Despite a largely disappointing winter i've enjoyed posting in the model discussion thread. My methods tend to differ somewhat to other members as I base my posts not just on the model output but I also try and use a bit of instinct. This can at times cause some agro on the thread!
Just add that over the past week the synoptics might not of been classic but this region has certainly done well and probably far better than we could of expected. A total of 17cm of snowfall with min temps dropping as low as -16C is pretty impressive when upper temps have only been around -5C.
yes i second that ,very good rundowns and opinions, and even beating the NAE at its own game the other night .LOL. will look forward to your Thunderstorm predictions ....

cant be the cold channel as the North sea seems to generate plenty of storms for the North East coasts yet the North Sea last time i checked IS colder than the Channel
