Followed up the discussion on station locations the other day. Turns out perth data comes from 12.5 miles away at Strathallan. I have known people around there snowed in when Perth has seen nothing at all.
Did laugh at the "Viking winds" during the forecast on countryfile outlook. No where near as panic inducing headlines of the express but a fantastic image.
I get that jelly baby, as one who lives in a snow shield area I love seeing others get snow, but this has been border line from start for me and turning out that way. Few let downs recently and my usual optimism is dying quickly.
big question has to be why it kicked off in worse conditions than when the ref said no more? Absolute joke, feel for anyone spending money to get there for what was a farce.
Just took a quick walk/slide/breakdance to the local shop. Pavements and roads are lethal this evening. Watched a couple of folk land face first, my own danger was all that stopped the normal snigger to such events.
