  1. it a massive invisible dome and it will make sure that Perth and other areas are denied their snow again.
  2. cannot recall a single day of lying snow this winter so far, poor even by Perth's standards. Let's hope for a change soon.
  3. has to be the latter! this defrosting the car to get to work then doing it to come home is all good and well but where the hell is my snow?
  4. usual crap here in Perth, watch the snow/sleet crossing over the country till it gets about 10 miles from perth when it turns to rain again.
  5. i usually find i come out of it with the theme tune from M*A*S*H* stuck in my head.
  6. as someone who rarely posts i must say that the general model chat is way better than the actual model thread. At least that way you can try and put across the idea that its not a competition and all point scoring. Reading model thread tonight is just a nightmare and one reason why I can rarely be bothered posting. anyhoo, cracking sunset tonight and in between people coming in to fuel up on A90 I managed to nip out and quickly grab a few snapshots of the cracking sunset. sorry for poor quality, i am not exactly David Bailey. Taken near Glencarse looking towards Perth.
  7. red warning was issued at 8.15 this morning, way too late for those travelling to work.
  8. i know what you mean, a bit like the met office 16-30 day forecast. Come on they do it and it's there job, people on here are giving their opinion of where they believe things will be having looked at the charts, surely the whole point of the model thread? check out meto 16-30 day forecast and you will see what i am getting at.
  9. met office snow warnings updated for friday and saturday now.
  10. As a long time lurker and a VERY rare poster, that i must say is one of the best posts on here in the last while. I wish everyone would stop comparing each run against the last and pick one and look for changes from 24 hours previous. that way trends will show and the rollercoaster will stop. biggest downfall on here is people comparing each run to the one before it and raising/dashing their hopes.
  11. from viewing the netweather radar we are in line to take a hit, that is as far as i will commit. sitting here in Craigie.
  12. looking across Perth it seems to be arriving in Scone around now so it may improve very soon.
  13. finally the snow is falling in Perth. came on 30 minutes ago so a nice dusting now.
  14. http://www.sat24.com/ look at the top of the image and you will see the rotation there. long way out but that is worth keeping an eye on.
  15. the break down from the low that was to our North West will bring in showers. However, i wouldnt make a bet on where they will effect. the Low that was to our Northwest was very interesting to watch, and i am not going to get involved in was it/was it not a polar low. i can see why it would be viewed from either side, but it was interesting to watch it build and how it progressed. Like i say the low picked up to the far Northeast is also going to be equally interesting to follow
  16. I think this very odd system could deliver showers anywhere but is equally likely to disappoint. Only time will tell on this one. More interesting is the feature DXR has picked up on way to our North just off Norway.
  17. nice one Waxwing, hopefully we will see something in Perth soon as i am beginning to lose heart in it all.
  18. I can confirm that the dome is still in tact in Perth so nothing to worry about at this time.
