Think I'd head towards Pine Bluff now.
-
I know there's the trees but I'd be looking to start around Jonesboro AK today.

Just thought I'd add with me Firefox works best on Android & of course it remembers the password but still thought it would be good maybe if an app could be made?
-
I was just wondering if it would be possible for a Net Weather Extra radar app to be made to save logging in and having to remember our passwords or finding a browser that works well with it?

I believe 1976 was officially the hottest and driest summer on record? For 2013 to beat that we would have to be looking at an August to match our present July. Unlikely!
Bare in mind though the heatwave of 76 was at it's height from about the 20th of June on-wards so you'd need June to be very good as well!

Looks like the Met Office latest run is going for storms in the Bristol area from around 03:00 onwards.
-
Fingers crossed it stays dry Tuesday evening - I just can't have any thunderstorms until 10pm on Tuesday!!
Completely agree, that's when I finish work lol! no storms are allowed until then!

traffic moving slowly through Moore
Paul or Ian Verizon is connecting and disconnecting constantly any suggestions
Tom
I've got the same problem Tom, think it's the network, maybe overloaded with chasers!!

Tornado on the ground, Broken Arrow, OK... Looks pretty hefty!
Between Broken Arrow and Siloam Springs..
Yeah, we have stayed in Tulsa tonight & went for the storm the second it became tornado warned. The roads were tricky to get round but we caught a brief glimps of it whilst driving.

Noticed a funnel has been spotted, did you see it?
We haven't got a chance of getting to it now. One word springs to mind.....bugger!
-
The towers we were watching died. We then headed up to the Nebraska MD area but it has since been removed. Might stay in North Platte tonight then head to Hastings tomorrow.
-
Looks like there's some towers going off just north of Hays Kansas on the satelite so we're gonna head that way.
-
We're just sat by Enders Resevior about 40 miles southwest of North Platte......just waiting!

in these parts we have had 6 rubbish summers in a row,i do remember 4 in a row 85 to 88,and that was bad until now its unprecidented,i didnt think we had ever had 5 bad ones in a row before never mind 7 surely we have to go back to the 1800s to get summers so poor.if winters have gone cooler as 20 years ago why have the summers got worse?
Well the way I'm looking at it is in the 80's we had 83 & 89. The 70's 75 & 76. Even if you go back to the 1800's wasn't the warmest ever June recorded in the middle of them somewhere? We're bound to get a good summer at some point as the past shows it always happens. But as some people have been saying we also haven't had a really bad summer in terms of temperature either.
I think it will go one of two ways. It'll either be really good or really bad!

Just drove home from work and noticed a little bit of sleet mixed in with the rain up by Bristol Airport about 800 ft above sea level. Air temp was 3 degrees C.

Count me in as well
-
Okay loading up the lappy with music, any request for those on the first tour?!
One of my hobbies is DJ'ing, I'm going to bring a few of my mixes! All mainly current dance/club like stuff.

For somebody who's there from the 10th to 20th of May this really is making depressing reading
I'm just hoping that the models are wrong as they often can be or a change happens as early as mid month.

I'm flying with BA and there's a form to fill in that asks for the first hotel we'll be staying in once arriving, does anyone know which one it is?

Just to keep you updated I've got another lead. Just had this email:
"Dear Mr Staines
Many thanks for your email.
Can you please confirm if this is through an official company and if so, can you please confirm their name/website details so we can assess the risk?
Also, can you please confirm how long you are planning to take part in this activity?
Kind Regards"
I'll let people know how that ones goes as well.
Tim
I got a reply back from these people:
"Dear Mr Staines
The underwriters have agreed to cover this activity under our grade 4 hazardous activities, therefore an additional premium will need to be paid, the medical excess on any related claims would increase to £650, no cover under the PL section and 50% reduced cover on PA.
Kind Regards
Kind Regards,

So basically they're saying they'll do it as well. If you're planning on going with them probably best contact them first so it's all agreed etc and in writing. Dogtag worked out cheaper for me though.

Really? Just ran a quote to see what people have to pay and it comes out at £95 for DogTag Max cover. That's £5 more than Go Walkabout. Unless I'm looking at the wrong thing?!
Yeah I know the prices looked more or less the same to me as well?
