Guys just be careful when reading posts about forecasts we are a very big region and cover a very large and varied geographical area. Mods I do think this highlights the problem that we have not splitting into smaller regionals.

Thanks for that John bet you enjoyed describing them. We did try to get them for your birthday but the delivery company was a bit late

Having taken a sneak peek into other regionals we seem to be rather subdued in here tonight. Nobody excited?

It's looking good Callie. Coast posted some charts up a few pages back I think. As ever it will be a nowcast thing but things are looking good for us South coasters

Urgh it's getting ugly in MAD thread again alot of IMBY posts going on. I think I shall just sit in our safe little area for a while now.

Actually the fact that we have got something showing in the relatively near future rather than grey dross and rain of previous weeks I think we all have the right to get a little bit excited about some of the white stuff.

Jeez it's taken ages to catch up on everything today. You finish reading MAD thread then catch up on here then by the time you go back to MAD thread there are another 10 pages to read through. How can I put someone on ignore?

It's hard not to get excited watching Steve Murr's reactions to the ECM on MOD thread. Talk of a Channel Low showing in FI me thinks Mr John is going to have a nice pick of charts to ramp with tonight

On those charts Coast what do the symbols mean I take it the cross and stars are light and heavy snow but what do the triangles with stars over mean?

I'm going to use a really technical term to describe the weather outside at the moment. It's "pants". Grey old mess been drizzly this morning and a tad colder.

Aww that's nice (as Mrs Brown would say) they are all playing nicely now. We have potential looking at the charts I'm happy with that.

Why do they (MOD thread) have to focus on what we don't know namely next week. When you have a well respected forecaster namely Ian Fergusson using words like "Shannon entropy" and "dichotomy" why as mere mortals do we try and torture ourselves over what is going to happen? Basically they haven't got a clue which way it is going to go. From my limited understanding they mean that there are too many variables that is a very brief summary of what those words mean but if anyone wishes to expand and explain better I will not be offended.

Sensible it is not pretty in there. Lots of toys being thrown around.

But but but I want more!!!! Seriously though I am keeping my feet firmly on the ground with this one what will be will be.
