aye... ill give it a shot on the apple tree.. cheers for that.. managed to stop the ants from going up there this year with a glue bandage so the aphids have been neglected.. just wondering if anyone knows if the ants move the aphids around as this year there is only a concentration of them on one side??

growing garlic in front of the blackberry.... its not working.. think ill wait until the garlic flowers before spraying anything just to see what happens..

seem to be working here.. nothing on the beans and nothing on the toms.. the blackberry is covered tho as is one of the apple trees.. might resort to a bug gun..

roger.. as beautiful as that photo is.. this is the current month photo comp.. any chance you have a few shots from the last few days?? if not.. any chance you could pop that photo into the photography section?? its difficult enough for shuggs to work out the valid shots for the month without wildcards.. :lol: :lol: very nice pic BTW

currently 27C and the sun is just starting to come out again after that storm over the midlands earlier ran into an area of CIN that has been parked over north Lincs/East Yorks.. no rain here just the cloud..

Hi Paul.. looking forward to todays storms but im not gonna hold my breath up here mate.. something says they will track east or west.. as they travel up from the south they hit matlock bar and split.. if i feel brave enough again ill head over there.. usually quite nasty... but good photo opportunities for anyone local.. OT i know but hey!!.. after last years wipe out i thought it might be a good idea to point out a good location..

storm started about 1930 finished about 2200.. as with most things in this neck of the woods... the storm was pretty laid back... just the odd bright flash and bang but most IC with rumblings.. quite heavy rain tho.. 18mm of rain and counting.. nice summer storm..

mondy.. me too.. the last few days have seen french and italians on the cb bands in the uk with some great copies.. and only at 4W.. tonight has been fairly quiet tho so i cant see any major show happening..

menthol crystals scattered in the area where they have been seems to work.. been planting out this last week and sprinkled some around and nothings been in the flowerbed..
