agree thats a nice run from the GFS,maybe those who want something more akin to summer will be rewarded, that said reading John H's view/take on things things although not washout nothing of interest really for the settled camp, ive looked at these charts for days now and they have all become very similar http://mp1.met.psu.edu/~fxg1/ECMWF_0z/test8.gif http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/predictions/610day/610day.03.gif like had been said, still fingers crossed GFS is onto something? -

looks like for some lucky people(who like the white stuff) it will be lampost watch duty tonight.....good luck to those starved of snow... radars going to take a battering tonight for some. My other half thinks im nuts staring at a radar and when its summer and i say stare at that cloud in the sky and watch it disappear she really starts to panic.. -

well just fixed the fence.....again, and i find myself moaning about it to my Wife, then i thought about the flooded areas...the fence means nothing.....,im hoping for a warm dry spring and decent summer so all those affected can dry out and get themselves sorted.I hope that mother nature does balance herself out and this complete and utter crud once its gone don't return anytime soon! -

What a difference a year makes this time last year there wasn't a bud on a tree in sight and as for the daffs they grew down instead of up!(i know its only feb)...i planted laurel trees 18 months ago and although they are evergreen and growth is slow(er) during winter they have grown rapid this winter plenty of liquid and average temps... think i can count the number of frosts on one hand...not that i care i cant stand cold full stop.We are lucky where we are high up...in the land of rolling hills and where the sheep are regularly chased by men in wellies. But i really feel for those flooded what a nightmare that must be and this wet dank dark muck shows no sign of stopping and i like many hope it calms down for all those affected...good luck and best wishes to those flooded. Roll on spring and roll roll roll on summer even faster!if we get one! -

As much as i hate cold and snow.(used to love it..must be old age...yeah probably is)this winter SO FAR must be like the equivalent or getting there of summer 2007 for those who liked warmth and sunshine..... for those who love and search for something wintry and long lasting the hunt goes on...but theres all of feb, march and tbh we can get large dumps of the white stuff in april,ok it dont last long but at least some will get their fix....good luck to all the cold lovers because i for one have enjoyed this winter and its mildness(bar the rain rain and more rain) and if things dry out i might even trim the lawn which has continued to grow.... -
