  1. Very disappointing temperatures. I can cope with the cold so long as skies are clear and it's dry. Hopefully these storms on thurs/fri will make the cold spell worth while, I could do with some excitement.
  2. Looking forward to the chance of a storm this weekend. But really want the sun to shine for cosford on Sunday !!

  13. Woke up at 7.15 to thunder. Slowly creeped into the town. Had a couple of close ones and then moved north. Exciting for 10 mins. Why don't they hang around anymore. While I was growing up they would be here for hours and hours rumbling around. I take it that's it for my area for today.
  14. Thought I was in prime position here in shrewsbury but looks as though I maybe a tad to west. Oh well got a wedding Saturday so at least I won't miss to much. Hopefully dry for Sunday as I'm off to raf cosford airshow. Enjoy the excitement and anticipation guys and girls

  16. Just watched skies turn black from north east and her rumblings of thunder but once it arrived just a very very heavy shower with about a minute of gusty winds. Tested out my new conservatory though....no leaks
  17. Good luck for tomorrow, I normally travel to the welsh coast for the storms, but I think tomorrow is going to be just a tad to fierce for me, so will watch it from the safety of my lounge. I might take a walk with the dogs onto seven pitches to feel the force of the winds..good luck and safe journey
  18. We went to criccieth on Saturday for the storm, it was fab, there's a brilliant little cafe which has a conservatory on the back which literally sits out on the sea..we spent most of our time in there drinking coffee and eating far too many cakes..your problem will be travelling there during the storm which is not a great idea...
  19. In a b&b in criccieth and wow, high seas, and the wind well,I've never experienced anything like it. Literally takes you, off, your feet. Found a great cafe which backs on to the sea, fabulous view of high tide with a nice warm coffee.
