Steady rain here now. That drizzle that soaks one right through to ones linen.
-
No thunder here yet. Very still though and quite muggy. And extremely gloomy. Maybe we'll hear some thunder later (or wheelie bins
)

Just seen Look East weather and according to them, most of our region could experience some thundery and heavy rain with flood warnings, today. Well, like I keep saying...let's wait and see.

I have to say...it 'feels' quite promising here. Very still, very damp and overcast and a stormy 'tang' in the air. Hmmmmm!

Oh.....Happy May Gosling Day!

Mornin each. Raining, chilly, still, and sky is a solid mass of dove grey.
Will it....or won't it today.........? Let's wait and see.
Have a good day, everyone.

Just got back from town. It's so warm and muggy here and some BIG clouds building up. It definitely looks promising.

Mornin each. Bit murky and muggy in Ippy this morning but with that sweet, fresh scent in the air.
Great story, CK. I hope that mans efforts weren't in vain. And congrats' on the twins.
Have a good day, everyone.

I have a wish for sometime this summer. I go out for a ciggie about nine o clock at night, and hear distant rumbles. Then, the ghostly flickering of lightning dancing in the clouds. The rumbles come closer and closer, until.....BOOM! We have a storm that lasts until early hours of the morning.
Ah, we can hope. 'Sigh'

Is there thunder about? It seems as though it could be a tad stormy here at the moment. Very still and with that 'feeling' in the air and that particular 'look' in the sky. Umm! If you know what I mean.........:O

Evening all. It's been lovely and sunny, and quite warm in Ippy today. Now it's looking to be a very nice evening.
Still hankering after storms, mind.
Hope you all had a good day.

Well, the anticipation was there...and as I've said before...that's nearly as good as an actual storm imo. Lets hope for a rumble or two in the week.Victor, your postings make you sound like a real barrel of laughs... I predicted early yesterday there might be a 90% chance of someone hearing thunder in our region, this weekend. It didn't happen and it really doesn't matter and I'm not worried if I now have 'egg on my face'. We still have good chances this week too imho.

Been a nice, sunny spring day; but I really do feel the need now for some cracking thunder storms. It did look a little bit promising earlier this afternoon, but that may have been wishful thinking.

Yes.....I got up this morning full of beans and hopes of storms. I was in a really good mood but hopes (and good humour) began to fizzle out as the day went on.
Ah well, let's hope for some stormy action before long. The fiercer, the better I say.

Ah yes.......nice place, Woodbridge. Rendelsham Forest is lovely too. And Orford. Never mind, AS.......your day will come. Was it Linus in Charlie Brown who wherever he went had a cloud above him? Today I've been to Woodbridge in Suffolk (not far from you K) and back and apart from 5 minutes in Woodbridge, it has been dank, dreary, dull and disappointing, but particularly so (and this is for you Charltonkerry) around the Dartford river crossing!I pulled in at the Reigate Hill car park at about 6pm on my way home to see what it was like up there and whether I could get a restorative view across the open countryside and what did I get? Fog. Junior cricket practice cancelled - rain. And now, after 6 hours driving today and having started work at 6am before the drive, I have been 'asked' to drive to south west London by my wife to a party where she will enjoy a glass or 4 and I won't.Grumpy does not really cover it.Have a good weekendAS

No offence taken, JMTD. I know that T&L is not everyone's cuppa tea. I have family members who would sooner scoop their own eyeballs out and replace em with hot toffee apples than suffer a storm. I guess us storm fans do get terribly excited when storms are forecast.Oh of course, I didn't mean it in that way. Everybody is different and obviously a lot of people love storms. I didn't used to really mind them at all until a bolt struck a pole in my back garden which sounded like a bomb going off. Love the rain, hate thunder and lightning. Seem to be constantly coming on to see "this percent chance of storm today" and it drives me nuts. Sorry if I offended any of you by the way I said that in my previous post...heat, cold, snow, rain, sunshine...anything for me as long as the storms keep away
