  1. Thank you Lloyd, I am seriously old enough, believe me, seriously old! Posted Image

Oi, friend, you're off my Xmas card list. Ali, it was taken this century and the photograper, once he'd come out from under his blanket thingy and the smoke had cleared, said he'd be only too happy to snap me again. He also added that the papyrus my photo was printed on, does discolour with time. Posted Image

Joking aside Ali, thanks for those kind words.

Not a word from you either Tamarina, otherwise I'll be having a word with your photographer too! Posted Image

    Tom.

Ha ha. That made me giggle, Tom. Hope Antony and all the family have a wonderful day. It is well deserved going by some of your past postings. :)

  2. Mornin each. Sunny but a bit cloudy at the mo...but it's a typical late March morning; very pleasant with the birds singing and leaves budding.

I hope I haven't caused any bother or too much misunderstanding with my earlier post about the TV series. I realised the said series was obviously popular so a thread in the lounge would be a good idea for folks to discuss it should they want to.

Yes...!this is a community and...like friends and neighbours, we do like to hear about the goings on of our fellows. I do at least. And of course

..in true English fashion...we love to talk 'weather' as well. A nice !mixture of

things....including our beloved pets, Y-Fronts and bloomers :D and work.

Have a good Poets day folks. :)

Hazy! That's the word I was groping for...not cloudy. Thanks Captain Shortwave. :)

  3. I'm pleased that the Hastings shield is fully working and am missing these storms to my eastPosted Image

I'm much less pleased that Shadow might love his carrier crate indoors to sit and sleep in, as pictured yesterday, but hates being in it in the car and I can't take him a greater distance than a mile or two let alone the length of the A21 to Bromley and surrounding partsPosted Image

On the brighter side once more, Sunday especially this weekend looks very pleasantPosted Image

Tamara...re Shadow. Have you tried the Feliway spray. Its very good for nervous cats whilst travelling. Or...good old cat mint/nip.

  4. Being Bletchley they probably all ran for cover in Cash Converters or one of the many charity shops Posted Image

The hailstones didn't do much for the spring flowers - they took a bit of a battering still the parks trust have planted over 200,000 bulbs here in the last 7 years ....

Is Bletchley that bad now? Last time I was there I was nine years old and it was quite rural then. Mind you, it's quite a few years since I was nine. :D

  5. Mornin each. Sunny but chilly here with cloud. It's a bit different to last week end temp'wise.

We have a problem with one of the neighbourhood cats coming through the cat flap, staring through the window and consequently..we have three very stressed moggies. The house pongs of pungent cat pee/spray. :( There are now voiles at the patio doors and flap is locked at night..but poor Banshee, Stormy and Louie are still on edge. What a nightmare. 'Sigh'

Hope you all have a lovely...and stress free week end. :)

  6. I'm feeling pretty numb, my Dad has been fighting hard since August, had part of his throat removed in a major op including voice box, then intensive radiotherapy.  Had a stroke today, the nerves in his throat are all burnt out from the radio, it's difficult to take it all in.  He has the heart of a lion, and will to stay with us, for the sake of us, but it's not enough.  Just trying to draw some strength from somewhere for tomorrow, to make him laugh through the reality (its what me and my sister do, we make him laugh), even though the pain is unbearable for him and us.  The weather, it's been cold, with a bitter wind today.

My thoughts are with you and your loved ones, Alix, at this most sad and difficult time.
