Nice forecast, JP. Hope we do get some thunder action.
It's been a lovely day here and as the sun went down, the sky looked like mother-of-pearl. Stunning. Hope we get many more days like today.

Hmmmmm! Makes interesting reading over a plate of my home grown and naturally cooked, nitrogen rich spaghetti.'CONDENSATION CULTURE?'BBC Weather Forecasts to carry Legal DisclaimerAs a publicly funded body the Met Office, whose forecasts have come under increasing scrutiny following the 'BBQ Summer' fiasco of 2012, are insisting that they will only continue to provide forecasts for public broadcast on the Beeb if the Corporation displays a legal 'get out' on screen and that the forecaster makes an approved statement so that this is accessible to the visually impaired as well. Worried about the threat of increasing litigation and of perhaps being sued by a disgruntled bride that has seen her big day washed out, or a family that organised a picnic based on a forecast, only to see their sausage rolls soaked, the Met Office has made this demand and the BBC, amazingly, seem set to comply.A Met Office spokesperson said: 'We don't mind people using our forecasts when planning their events, but it's important that we don't get dragged through the courts in expensive battles, so we think the disclaimer will allow us to conserve vital funds for things like research into climate change and updating our website'. When pressed as to what the disclaimer would say, the spokesperson was vague saying only that it would be along the lines of 'forecasts are for guidance only an d the Met Office and the BBC take no responsibility for any errors whether deliberate or otherwise'.www.metoffice.org/uk/legalCrazy!AS

We didn't really have a storm....I wish. I would've been reporting it at the time if we had. My attempt at April Fool.
Hope you all have a lovely day. Now off to pick me ready-cooked spaghetti. Lol.

Very dull here now and very still. I haven't seen any Saharan dust here yet....but the bloomin' Sahara can keep it. Sauce....sending their dust over here.

Mornin each. Dull in Ippy but quite mild. There is that smell in the air which, in my opinion betokens a thundery shower later. Or is that wishful thinking.
Hope you all have an excellent day.

I have great hopes for lots of thundery action in the coming months; and I think we may get it because the sea temps' didn't get as low as normal last winter. Therefore...the storms won't die crossing the channel. Or at least having a better chance hitting our shores whilst still active and we get lots of luvverly storms:DWishing all you wonderful Mums out there a very Happpy Mothers Day.
Nowhere near as nice as yesterday here, mostly overcast but occasional glimpses of very weak sunshine have pushed the temperature up to a warm 20c. Interesting prospects for a thundery outbreak.....if you like that sort of thing....and I certainly do !!
Enjoy the rest of your day folks.

Mornin each. Lovely sunny and warm morning here in Ippy. Bit hazy atm but reckon that'll clear later.
Nipper presented her mum with a lovely bunch of tulips this morning. Goodness knows how she managed to get out to the shop for them. Marvellous achievement for a two year old.
Have a good un, all.

Really? Who? Do tell. You can whisper it. I wont tell...honest.I may be speaking out of turn, and mods please feel free to delete my post, but I sense from recent posts a romance may have blossomed within our friendly local thread.
Moving swiftly on, here comes the weekend and a gradual warm up on the way. I'm all in favour of that.
Anyway...its dark outside and a bit nippy.

Thanks,Steve. And Bluebells smell heavenly as well. In the garden of my childhood, we had a massive blackberry bush and beneath it grew loads of bluebells. My mum must have had dozens of bunches of them thrust at her every summer. They were cherished gifts though and she loved every jam jar full.Nice pictures Grace. On my walk this morning, I saw quite a lot of bluebells (pre flowering obviously) I always look forward to the time when they flower - usually about the first week in May seems to be best here, although they were later last year, due to the cold Spring. Will they be a bit early this time?

Hope we get some thunder and lightning tomorrow. Big day is March 29th.
Today was quite sobering though. My niece's divorce became final. You always think it will be ok...but there is an element of sadness as well.
Enough of this Melancholy. Hope you all have a good weekend.
