  1. I'll be glad when it's Spring. However, I have been very satisfied with winter so far, ta very much.
  2. Who is Harold Ramis? Never heard of him but I take it he was something to do with that stupid Ghost Busters film.
  3. In 2008, I had a mole removed and it turned out to be malignant melanoma. I was stunned but....it wasn't the cancer that bothered me, it was having to have an operation and an anaesthetic. I was scared stiff. But, I had a damn good surgeon and his team and he removed the thing and I got the brilliant news that it hadn't spread to lymph nodes. Now, just passed the five year in the clear mark. My thoughts and very best wishes to all who are going through any thing like this. Ahem! Back on topic......it's still sunny and I'm HOT! (It's me age ) Oh, hang on, there are some dark clouds banking up over by Bills Mothers.
  4. Lovely and sunny and mild here now after a rainy start. Definitely Spring like. Send it over here, TS. sounds as though it was a good un.
  5. Well, folks, it looks as though these will be the only 'flakes' we'll all be seeing this winter, which is nearly over. Never mind.....soon be Christmas.
  6. Here comes the rain...again. It's quite heavy in Ippy now. Hope the weather picks up for next week as my niece is moving and on a rainy day it would be more stressful than ever. I will have to return to Norwich as well and get my place up and running again. It's gone to pot in the last few months. So that'll be a bit depressing. I'm not looking forward to that at all. I've spent the last months helping my niece through a stressful marriage breakdown and had The Nipper to occupy me and give me something to focus on, but as Linda pointed out yesterday, Nipper is not my responsibility and I have my own life to live....for myself. So, lots to sort out and I feel really anxious about it, but it has to be done. However, other people's problems put ones own into perspective and at least I have my physical health and that is good. And.....it's still raining. But looks as though it may clear up as it's quite bright.
  7. Mornin each. Dull and drizzly here, but fairly mild. It was very windy last night. It seemed to pick up really quickly. My best wishes to Snow Lady, her family and also to BJs mum. Will be thinking of you all today. Have a good day, everyone.
  8. Best wishes for Snow Lady tomorrow. We will all be thinking of you and sending good and loving thoughts your way.
  9. The flat I wanted is a no no unfortunately. I cannot afford the exorbitant up-front fees the agents are asking for. So.....back to Norwich and start again. It looks like rain here; it clouded up just before it got dark and my rain alarm has been going mad. Ah, well....sun was nice while it lasted. Have a good evening, all.
  10. No, TBH, I've been very well satisfied with the windy, stormy weather we've had. I know it hasn't been good for the people affected by the floods, but it's the kind of weather I love. If we had had snow, I would have wanted lots and lots of it (as the Excess promised ) but knowing our luck, we would have had a flurry or two and that would have ground the country to a standstill. :O If that is to happen, I want it to be well worth the problems.
  11. Mornin each. Lovely and sunny now after a cloudy start. The sky is blue with occasional trails, like Heavenly ley lines from climbing aeroplanes. Here is the first sign of Spring in the garden........ Have a good day, everyone.
  12. No other half, Jax. I'm free as a bird. In my kingdom, there is one mistress and no master. (Lizzie the First)
  13. We are clearing out the loft prior to moving. What a MAMMOTH task. The stuff that you keep 'just in case' :O phew!!!! And the useless rubbish.
  14. Can still here the shooting sounds. It does sound like gun shots. It sounds like a Chicago shoot-out in the 1920s. There must be a firing range somewhere or it's Clay Pigeon shooting. Intriguing. Still dull and miserable......and the weather's not much better.
  15. Mornin each. Dull, drizzly and chilly here in Ippy. Just heard what sounded like gunshots somewhere about, and pretty close. The gulls first alerted me to something going on, they were going crazy. Hope it's not a crazed gunman. (I really must stop watching CI programmes) Best wishes to SL for Tuesday. Hope it all goes well for you. And hope you have a fab holiday, Steve. Did you know......a famous publishing house has rejected the new book by a disillusioned vet. It's called 'All Creatures Grunt and Smell' Have a good day, everyone.
  16. Nah....don't do that Chilly, just ignore them. The input from all the nice people on here cancels out the sarcastic digs a hundred fold.
  17. Snow! Snow! What the f*** is that? Still lovely here. Spring is sprung...the grass is riss...I wonder where that birdy is.....:)Blimey! I didn't even write the 'F' word and the filter got me. :O
  18. Mornin each. Lovely and sunny here but a tad windy and chilly. Blue sky, fluffy clouds.....very strange to have this for two days running. Watched a very good doc' last night about the Big Bang and the beginning of the Universe. Planck Time anyone.....? Stretched my brain a bit. Now....back to Peppa Pig. Have a good week end folks..whatever you're up too.
  19. How do I do a 'partial quote' a snippet from a previous post on iPad please? It seems silly to quote a whole post, especially if it's a lengthy one when you just want to refer to a sentence or two. Thanks...K
  20. Beautiful aren't they? What a find. I'd love to see them for real. It's sad that they were submerged though. It just goes to show that our coast is constantly changing and has been for millennia so it's nothing new. Hope they make a TV documentary about it. Now that would be worth watching.
  21. Had a lovely walk into town with Nipper. Got some info about possible move etc, so that's good. Had a lovely walk back down by the river ( the part which runs past the possible flat) Lovely sunshine, bit windy but it blew the old cobwebs off and cleared my overworked brain a tad. So overwhelmed with things to do and desperate to have this flat. Please all keep your fingers crossed for me. Just need to speak to agent again about some things. Lovely and sunny here and very spring like. Daffs have got buds and the birds are singing. Hope springs, eh? New start and all that. It's not the prettiest part of Ippy, but I like it,and as I say...it's by the river and I love being near water. And I can find a certain beauty in the most urban areas and industrial landscapes. For example, I love power stations and leccy pylons. Yup...I'm wierd. And you never know, I may fall madly in love with that bridge or that flood barrier wall. Hmmm, now I think about it........
  22. Right after my nice walk I'm off to town now to fight my round the shops with the half-termers
  23. Mornin each. Lovely blue sky, sun, slight breeze but a bit chilly in Ippy. Hope it stays like this as I have loads to do involving a trip into town with Nipper. Do NOT fancy walking about in rain as said Nipper will NOT wear hats, mittens nor have plastic cover on push chair. She LOVES the weather just like her Goose. (Me) Blimey! I wonder if Coast knew how popular he was. I'm sure Netweather will go on and still be the same lovely, friendly place without him (Coast) Have a great day, folks whatever you are up too.
