Looks a bit like next doors fence. -
The winds certainly picked up in the last hour or so. Quite gusty out there now.

Missed all of the showers this afternoon with all of them either just missing or breaking up before reaching here. Much calmer now than last night.

Still fairly windy here although it's eased a bit compared to not long ago.

Top guest now 32mph in sheltered location. Also it's a toasty 12.1°C.

Highest gust here so far is 29mph although that's in a fairly sheltered location so I would imagine it's actually a fair bit higher than that.

Pressure falling quickly here now and the winds just beginning to increase.

Fortunately the rubbish here went out last night so no problems with that. Will be interesting to see what the wind speeds are later on.

Happy New Year fellow snow starved (and the few lucky ones in here), here's hoping the our starvation finally comes to an end this year.

Won't break my monthly record of 124.2mm back in July but need just 2mm to reach 100mm for this month.

The temperature was dropping slowly but it's suddenly risen back to 11.6°C and the winds suddenly increased. 6.6mm today.

Might not have had quite so much rain as you but I doubt the ground looks much different, very soggy and soft underfoot. Still if last nights rain rate was like yesterday morning it might’ve looked more like this.

Haven’t passed 100mm this month here so far with the total for the month currently 86mm.

Passed through here not long ago with a few rumbles heard and a rain rate of 384mm/hr recorded at one point. Also a short period of very strong winds. -
Now I can hear thunder. Just looked and that rain just now at one point had a rain rate of 384mm/hr. Also had a 49mph gust which easily breaks my wind gust record.

May have heard a rumble a couple of minutes ago but the rain was so loud against the window it was hard to tell whether it was thunder or the wind. Seems to have calmed down at the moment.
