Much prefer days like today to what we've had over the last few months. Yes it's cold but the sun really does make a huge difference, especially after hardly seeing it for so long.

just noticed the 700mb winds are se'ly. i wonder if this could form a streamer for the south coast as there a fair bit of light precipitation forming and heading towards iow possibly more north. something to keep an eye on
It does seem to be heading this way. Worth keeping an eye on the radar I guess just in case, if you're mad enough to still be awake in a while like I probably will be

We not had any of that!
I'm gutted but not surprised!
You didn't miss much. It looked like a slight frost rather than snow. Areas between us managed a bit more.

Think I just missed that heavier blob as it passed agonisingly close so just a bit of icing sugar on the grass.

Just had some heavier snow for a few minutes of which a tiny amount settled on the grass.

A few flakes again here but doesn't look like it'll get any better than that today. Still it's been nice to see a bit of falling snow.
-
Went down to 15.7°C earlier which is the coldest I've seen it in the house for some time. 18.7°C now with the heating on.
-
A few flakes here now. Only very light but larger flakes than earlier.

My sister lives in New Milton, apparently just started snowing there very lightly.
It has. I mean you can barely see the flakes but it’s definitely snowing.

Really nice out there today, sunny from the word go and stayed that way all day. Was pleasant when out of the breeze but at the same time it was nice to to have a colder more seasonal feel as well.

18.4°C without the heating on for now. The suns coming in though so it feels nice enough.
-
Sun and clear blue sky for most of the day although a bit of patchy cloud has appeared now. Much better than the endless grey skies of late

I thought today was going to be a dry day too but it's raining now, albeit barely noticeable. I did notice the Met Office text forecast mentions a few showery outbreaks of rain possible this evening.
-
Finally a day of, at least mostly, blue skies. Can't remember the last time that happened. Also nice that it finally feels a bit more seasonal.

Was nice to have a sunset with almost clear sky although the cloudier ones can be nice as proved one day last week. Also because of that it stayed light just that bit longer which was quite noticeable.

Mostly sunny so far today. It’s been a long time since I’d have last been able to say that.

I'm just glad to finally have something other than mild, dull and often wet. Even saw a bit of snow falling yesterday which was nice although of course I'd have liked to have seen a lot more than that. 3 days of almost uninterrupted sun here which hasn't been seen for a long time.
