  1. What is the best browser to have for a samsung galaxy ace mobile phone There are issues with not being able to scroll through forecasts using my current browser which is dolphin Thanks Sriram
  2. This has always happened to me what I dont understand is that this is not a phone or browser issue - as the radar scrolling and viewing and selecting options works fine Its something to do with the way the data is posted on the site Please note this is a mobile only problem - ipad and desktop viewing of these forecasts works fine
  3. My mobile phone is Samsung galaxy ace Browser is dolphin I cannot view extra subscription forecasts For example I have clicked on next 48hr forecast for my town and sat 29/06 pm All I get on a vertical alignment for my phone is data for 1300 1400 and 1500 I cannot swipe my finger on the right hand part of my screen from right to left to view the rest of the data On a horizontal alignment for my phone all I get is the same as before plus data for 1600 and half the data for 1700 Any ideas why this is This is definitely not an issue with my phone or browser - I can confirm that I have no issues at all with the radar and its features - it works perfect It is something to do with the way the forecast data is entered on the site - it works fine on ipad and PC but mobile phone viewing of the data is a problem Thanks
  4. phone is a samsung galaxy ace browser is dolphin I can scroll the radar OK - but forecast data is difficult
  5. Thanks - scrolling through the forecast data that is for extra subscription members is difficult on mobile phone On clicking the extra forecast link I get a text box with name of town or postcode, get forecast button and choose forecast day button The forecast icons are underneath this - cannot scroll easily through the data on mobile - as it is easy on ipad or desktop pc The radar on mobile is great with easy scrolling - but scrolling through forecast data on mobile is difficult / impossible
  6. Thanks - can you tell me where the subscription only forecast data is on the sites
  7. Hello I have a few questions with regards to the forecast data on netweather I am a member, and have the netweather extra subscription 1 Is the forecast data available to everyone - members and non-members alike ? 2 If all forecast data - that is UK 5 day, local 7 day and long range forecasts etc - is available to everyone -do members have access to member only forecast data - and if so where can it be found 3 I have a query with respect to the accuracy of data as I am a little bit worried - this morning at 7am for my postcode the data showed sunny skies icon, 7C and 90% humidity - what I actually had was 10 C, 60% humidity and cloudy skies at this time. At the moment I have partly sunny skies, 15 C, 48% humidity - but netweather is showing 13 C and 68% humidity. My postcode is DY3 3RG - just outside Wolverhampton 4 How often are the foreacast data updated - short and long range I would be grateful if you could answer these queries The radar is brilliant - well done - but if you can reassure me on forecast data accuracy I would be grateful Regards Sriram
  8. Can you pay for your annual subscription now - a few days before it runs out - or can you only pay on the day it runs out
  9. thanks - this is a really good upgrade on v6 as it is so much easier navigating around the map than was previously
  10. The v6 radar is great and works briliantly on mobile But can someone tell me what all the colours mean for various precipitation types The basic legend shows red as snow and green as rain When I load the radar I also get light blue and dark blue - what colour is sleet If you can tell me and also add an index for the colours and what the colours mean for preciptation types for v6 radar that will be great
  11. thanks - looks like its on the whole pretty accurate - in any case thunderstorms are always very localised events - just because there is a red cross in my location on the ATD map does not mean to say that there isn't a lightning strike going on 2 miles away
  12. I would be grateful if you could answer the following - how does the lightning detector work? Yesterday afternoon at around 1.30pm the detector showed loads of red crosses across the west midlands meaning there are lots of very recent lightning strikes around - but there were no thunderstorms here at all - just a dark sky for a short while and a bit of rain. I would be grateful if you could explain what is making the detector pick up strikes and showing as multi coloured crosses - even though we might not see any thunderstorms at all from what you might expect from the map - thanks
  13. I would be grateful if someone could explain the lightning detector to me When I load the page I get date, time and strike rate At the moment its 30th June at 5.05 pm Strike rate/hour is 12 the index has red cross is 1-10 minutes all the way upto the blue cross 51-60 minutes At the moment there is a blue cross over the North sea Does this mean there was a lightning strike over the North Sea between 51 and 60 minutes before 5.05 pm and that the current strike rate over the whole country is an average number of 12 strikes per hour Please confirm if this is true- or correct me if i am wrong
  14. Hello Paul Good to know that v6 radar does work on my samsung galaxy ace mobile phone on dolphin browser Sometimes needs to reload the radar page a few times which eats a bit of data usage - but the important thing is that the radar does work The only thing to add really is that navigating to the menu on the RHS is a bit difficult on a mobile phone, and the map is a bit fuzzy when you try and zoom into your location for precipitation If the menu could be relocated or made a bit simpler, with a better resolution when zooming in - that would be great
  15. Good to know v4 is staying - a possible improvement on v6 would be to move the menu from the right hand side to the top like it is on V4 - it is very difficult navigating with menu on the right handside on mobile using the browser - as you have to zoom in and move and reposition - I think it might be easier navivigating if the menu was at the top - hope this helps Sriram
  16. Thanks for all your help This really is a difficult one to explain When i tried on dolphin earlier - v6 did not work at all outside. Removed it and installed dolphin hd - i think this is different to the dolphin browser i had earlier - gone outside into the garden - and works fine - in any case my phone has no problems at all accessing v6 on wi-fi broadband at home So it sort of works on my phone - in any case i would be grateful if you can confirm that you will be keeping the link for v4 - so if i have problems on v6 i can use v4 on my premium subscription Thanks again for your help Sriram
