  1. Yeah they did, big bright yellow echoes right across East Anglia, then travelling up the east coast, signs of it stalling across Scot Borders/Tyneside i think, if it goes to plan! I wouldn't rule it out by any means, put it that way !
  2. Wow, just seen BBC weather, looking like a threat of a possible MCS pushing NW out of NE France/Belgium tomorrow night ! This is getting interesting now
  3. Typical that. I was hoping to see some red echoes in that on the next update :/ damn it!
  4. If the forecasting models favour that new developing low to be placed a little further WNW, then I would begin to bank on it
  5. As it stands now, Thursday night is looking like it could potentially be rather noisy across E Anglia and poss E England. If it stays like this, the camera will deffo be out ready! PLEASE DONT ALTER !
  6. Looking at the radar now, its showing some intensifying heavy showers that hit us 30 mins ago heading up past the Boston area. Hoping they keep brewing! Then your luck might unfold mate
  7. Yeah that looks bright red on the radar. Got a few potent looking clouds down the other end of lincs too you could be in for some at your end later i reckon.
  8. The 2nd batch of convergence over Cherbourg peninsula looks like it could be hitting us, the one out towards NE France/Belgium looks north sea bound though
  9. Some promising looking cumulonimbus around me at the moment. Looking like they are intensifying! Already had a heavy but thunderless shower :/ hope they get going more in the next 2-3 hours.
  10. Yeah I've got to agree with you there mate. Gosh I remember 2 hours before it came I kept seeing spectacular flashes every second in the distance, and constant low rumbling sounds almost like an earthquake ! It was as if armageddon was about to close in ! Must admit tho, I was having a fit with enjoyment when I saw it after a minute.
  11. I kid you not, I swear there were around 100,000 that day in the whole of the UK ( i might be wrong) but i reckon i remember hearing it on the news ! And yep, it was definitely the BEST one i've ever witnessed. I hope these ones forecast are better !!
  12. God, that storm was the most epic one ive seen in the UK ever. 31 AUG 2005 will never be forgotten. Strikes every 2-3 seconds, with anvil top lightning + crawlers to forks striking 100M away !! struck S lincs at around 10pm and lasted until like 1am.
  13. Yeah i know. Normally it is a really good place. Its just ive noticed sometimes when winds are light and variable, any storm that comes near the wash seems to get broken up by the shear of the cool sea breeze, thus losing a lot of its energy, kinda frustrates me !
  14. Just like up in south Lincs, the wash seems to have an effect of decaying storms as they move over :/. This happens when a sea breeze from the north-east comes into the equation. If there is no presence of it, then its a decent area for storms when they do come.
  15. Ah I see. Looking like there will be a lot more of a risk this week of some potentially wicked storms. Possible French/Belgian/German imports maybe at the end of the week looking at the charts at the moment ! Lets hope it pans out like its saying right now !
  16. Any idea on how long these storms will stick it out for as they push E/NE, will they last well on into the evening? Starting to get my hopes up a bit for this !
  17. Yeah, I was thinking the same mate. Really hoping that low keeps to the Southwest of the UK and keeps going south. Chances of one being drawn up in alignment with the whole UK will be a lot higher then . Fingers crossed.
  18. Anyone know if there will be any decent french imports during July? I hope so. Could do with a decent one such as the years of 2005/6
  19. Some very severe looking stuff happening over S and Central Germany atm !
  20. Possible storms heading in towards Peterborough, as im sure i can see approaching cumulonimbus from SW. Been watching this since N Devon and Somerset. Keep building you beast please !
  21. Ah. fingers crossed it maintains its Northerly migration other than pushing totally out to the east, as is sometimes the case !
  22. I can see signs of a convergence line happening to the east of Cheltenham heading towards Northamptonshire. Lets hope it keeps building by the time it reaches Cambs/Lincs.
  23. Looking at the chart, Newcastle may well be in for another storm, looks like the best one I can see on there. Probz nowhere near as bad as 2 days ago, but still ! Toon looks like the place to be this summer so far !
