Very few showers on the radar, probably no snow here.
-
A potentially severe windstorm may strike the Midlands next Saturday, gusts perhaps exceeding 60mph inland, potential for 70mph gusts. Obviously this is a long way off and subject to changes.

Scotland are really hogging the interesting weather. Orange snow and wind warning out for them tomorrow, whilst the Midlands is one of the few places without any warning. I don't think a single Amber warning has been issued here since the snow of 2013, which just proves how boring the weather is being! Despite this winter being the lamest of the lame, I have some faith in that Spring will give us what winter should have given us, snow. If it doesn't snow by March (or even in April), summer is probably going to suck, and the vicious cycle of mild winters and cool summers may continue...

This winter has failed to produce anything of great interest, and I think spring will face the consequences of this... a cool, gloomy spring.

I am actually jealous. Washington DC is able to get 60cm of snow, and here in the Midlands we fail to get even 1cm. Ridiculous weather!
-
The weather really does take the pee. It gives us one abysmal snow event, which doesn't deliver even the slightest dusting here. If you got a dusting, just be glad you saw snow, because I haven't seen any of the stuff for years now. Even worse, the weather next week is set to be milder than average with rain.

Just now, cyclonic happiness said:
Whereabouts in Warwickshire are you?
Near Stratford.

0cm snow here... It's just wet outside.
-
Awful. Light rain with maybe one or two flakes of snow... To be honest I expected better, and my expectations were low...
-
I am honestly so disappointed. I just went outside and all I felt was heavy raindrops... to think that could be huge flakes of snow falling I'm going to formally complain about the weather here...
-
It's 2C here and raining. It sucks!!!
-
It's raining, and this cold spell is already a failure.
-
These north-westerly cold spells always seem to fail to impress when it comes to bringing snow. The easterlies always seem to bring the snow here, while the northerlies/north-westerlies rarely bring any decent snowfall.
Anyway, the forecast from the Met Office is only rain here, so I'm certainly not looking forward to tonight.
-
Absolutely no snow whatsoever here, not even sleet falling - just rain.
-
The forecast here is for light rain, not something I ever look forward to.

Today was windy! A 58mph gust recorded nearby at around 10am. Wind managed to cause some minor damage to our house.
-
After expecting a mild, completely sunny day. I was very unlucky to be caught out in a downpour mid-afternoon which caused the wind to really intensify.
-
Once again, another vile day. Having said that, tomorrow looks like a nice day, 14C with sunny spells.
As for the upcoming week, Tuesday looks decent, cooler but sunnier than Monday. Wednesday looks bad and Thursday looks vile. Mild temperatures, overcast, light rain... everything I despise. Should be cooler by Friday, albeit it will remain cloudy. Similar pattern continuing into next week. SO... nothing interesting as the weather remains tedious with no sign of anything wintry.

I am glad we avoided all that rain in Cumbria, but I am certainly not impressed with the lack of wind in my area. I just don't understand how the Midlands can avoid so much wind.

Wind Warning pushed North so Midlands shouldn't expect much.

The end of a dull, mild month. The sunshine total this month was just under 38 hours, which is almost a record-breaker (far below average). It was also the second mildest month with a mean monthly temperature of 9.5C in Coventry. In addition, it possessed of one of the mildest November days at a temperature of 18C.
As for early December, expect windy, wet and mild weather instead of any cold weather or any form of wintry precipitation. The charts currently show two windstorms affecting us this weekend, the first and weakest one during the early hours of Saturday (gusts: around 50mph), and the stronger windstorm on Saturday night (gusts: around 60mph). This is of course subject to change.

Maximum gust of only 34mph!
-
Where on earth was the strong wind today?! All my area got was a 25mph breeze with the occasional 40mph gust at most, much lower than expected. It certainly wasn't worthy of a yellow wind warning, however perhaps tomorrow will make up for the lack of wind. I actually enjoy proper windstorms, but not the trash we got today with typical wind and rain. Netweather forecasting 30mph winds and 50mph gusts for my area tomorrow afternoon. For the record, maximum wind today was 25mph and gust was 41mph.

Winds haven't been as strong as I expected, but it seems the most strongest winds are actually in a few hours.
