  1. No thunder heard by myself today or yesterday. Met Office (Enviroment Agency) has issued an Amber Warning and yellow warning, unsurprisingly both missing Warwickshire! The warnings don't seem to accurate however, already about 25mm of rain has fallen here and is still falling and more rain, even a thunderstorm is forecasted for tomorrow, and adding onto that it looks like the rest of the week will include heavy rain or showers for my area and most of the U.K. In all.

  2. Some torrential showers and heavy rain but absolutely no thunder. Thing that annoys me is that places just slightly to the East and North to me are getting thunderstorms! I am expecting a thunderstorm today, and if not today then I expect one tomorrow, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday at least. We are set for some storms later on though however it seems that London is getting SEVERE storms.

  3. Hearing some very distant thunder... Nottingham seems to be getting a lot of the strikes, the storms seem to weaken when they reach Sheffield. An odd strike quite near to my location. Storms seem to be brewing in London and possibly in the Midlands.

Another 100+ strikes in Nottingham, other detectors show some popping up in the East Midlands too!

  4. Fair amount of thunderstorms this morning, some very loud rumbles with some IC lightning, never saw any CG lightning, I still feel that I missed the worst of the storms. This morning was very humid and fairly warm. Last night was disappointing with thunderstorms in my area, only a couple of flashes and distant thunder, a huge amount of the strikes were hitting London or Leicester. Looks like Derby is getting some lightning flashes at the moment. Some forecasts are predicting more thundery showers tonight though.

  5. Today was only OK for storms in my area, I did not see any CG lightning however there were reports of it nearby to me, the storms on Monday night all managed to avoid my area somehow all heading to Leicester, only one bought some flashes, distant thunder and very heavy rain for a short period of time. Tuesday morning at around 7am was more impressing, some very loud crashes of thunder, IC lightning and torrential rain showers. It still annoys me that the worst of the storms always seems to avoid Warwickshire like this morning. A small but thundery shower is predicted EXACTLY in my area by BBC, I doubt it will come anyway!

  6. I love storms, they dont happen to often here but I like the clouds mainly, the huge cumulonimbus one's can be scary, I remember in June 28th 2012 when a huge cloud was distant from where I was, I never got inside it though, another one hit us and it was not that severe.

  7. The forecast says there is thunderstorms for 7:00pm (Warwick, West Midlands) but it seems its all finished. Got to say I was more impressed by the lightning strikes I saw last night than today overall, all I saw was torrential rain heard a few rumbles of thunder some quite loud, never saw lightning directly except possibly once when I turned my head to look. no hail, slightly gusty overall it was a normal day with rain and rumbles of thunder with some lightning.

  8. Guildford: First thunder heard 1445.

Dark threatening sky to west & N.W. with increasing thunder - quite loud in last 10 minutes - 19 rumbles so far and 1 CG lightning to west at 1515. No rain yet.

    Lovely loud bang at 1524.

Best thunder of 2012 so far and most intense part hasn't got here yet - getting excited!

You got alot coming your way, here in Warwick there is a few showers left
