  1. I can remember being in a cottage on holiday in Brixham, Devon, must have been either 2005 or 2006, huge thunderstorm woke us up at around 07:00, crazy lightning and loud thunder! Thats the only one i can remember
  2. We are bang on the convergance zone by the looks of it, probably be at least 6 inches before the morning, equalling the last cold spell
  3. Whiteout here, blizzard conditions 3 inch in places, radar looks amazing, no sign of it stopping!

  5. Well, the North Sea snow factory is working overtime tonight. A small army of heavy snow showers moving in across the region

  8. Reports of severe disruption up in the usual places around Buxton, huge drifts building up on roads etc. Certainly a memorable cold snap, now around 16/17cm of snow here and we have some huge icicles hanging from the gutters, brilliant to see
  9. More snow falling here, probably up to 6 inches now settled. Freezing cold wind and snow blowing everywhere, the best snow since 2014 and the best cold since 2013.

  13. Well today is the best snow we've had since Boxing day 2014, not bad after what was a disappointing day yesterday Temperature is still at an unbelievable -5.0 so its not going anywhere fast, potential for more snow over the coming days aswell!

  16. Weather station reading -4.1, impressive for 3pm on the last day of February
  17. Well iv made it home, deeper here in Chesterfield than Matlock, around 4 or 5 inches here
  18. Showers are moving Easterly now, precip over N Lincs heading this way
  19. Still stuck at the top of Slack hill, major blizzard, visibility down to less than 30 metres
  20. Are the winds shifting direction?? Precip looks to be moving E now rather than NE
  21. Stuck in a huge jam at the top of Slack hill, total whiteout, 6 or 7 inches up here at least
