Fantastic run of models tonight. Infact exceptional. Now a word of caution this looks like getting no further than the midlands for the snowfall. So us north of birmingham dont get too carried away by snowfall totals. As i think the front will fizzle out somewhere around the midlands. But south of there looks like getting a serious dumping if tonights gfs and ukmo prove correct

Very confusing posts tonight. So is the cold staying or going? Sounds like some are saying mild to break through on the models. Yet others say cold going nowhere. Very confused. Please help.

Looking at fri sat for yorkshire think we will see a snow event but sadly it looks like been washed away. One of those classic heavy snow then washed away by teatime

They just shown latest forecast on news24 and all i will say is dont get our hopes up looks very much like we wont see very much snow now. Loooks very fragmented and a weak affair. What a typical british let down

Think those in west yorkshire should be worried looks more like a rain event than snow. Plus those further east will be looking at a dusting i think maybe 2-4cm at most.

Only downside i see is northern and western parts missing out on the snow fun

looking at the ecm 12z run i would say us north of birmingham can forget about snowfall anyone agree

Still got a feeling we may not see any sustained cold into the uk because of the high flux think the cold will head south missing the uk im afraid. Think we will be looking at another fail like dec for the uk. Due to the high flux

Think too many are expecting this ssw event to bring cold to the uk to be garenteed. Sorry but dont think it will happen like that. Never thought i would say it but im with brain gaze on this one. With the uk missing out on the cold. Think the models will firm up late weekened early next week. But not expecting anything cold and snowy to hit the uk im afraid. The esembles dont look too good for us. The azores high looks like remaining dominante keeping us on the mild side. All im saying is dont get your hopes up again. As you may be very dissapointed again.

I dont understand why everyone is getting so worked up over the gfs run we all know it has about 0% of happening. Expect a horror show from ecm now. Then end up with a half way house between ukmo and ecm perhaps. But in my opnion that gfs run has little chance of verifing.

Looks like were doing just the same as last week chasing the cold deep in fi. Think this is going to be another let down winter again. The models arent great for a deep cold outbreak. Think we will be seeing more upgrades from the models regarding even less chance of cold outbreak for us.

Very true he isnt right much. But it would be just the law of sod he gets this one right. even joe b was trying to convince him last night. But if he is right then fair play to him.
