Fantastic run of models tonight. Infact exceptional. Now a word of caution this looks like getting no further than the midlands for the snowfall. So us north of birmingham dont get too carried away by snowfall totals. As i think the front will fizzle out somewhere around the midlands. But south of there looks like getting a serious dumping if tonights gfs and ukmo prove correct

Very confusing posts tonight. So is the cold staying or going? Sounds like some are saying mild to break through on the models. Yet others say cold going nowhere. Very confused. Please help.

Looking at fri sat for yorkshire think we will see a snow event but sadly it looks like been washed away. One of those classic heavy snow then washed away by teatime

They just shown latest forecast on news24 and all i will say is dont get our hopes up looks very much like we wont see very much snow now. Loooks very fragmented and a weak affair. What a typical british let down

Think those in west yorkshire should be worried looks more like a rain event than snow. Plus those further east will be looking at a dusting i think maybe 2-4cm at most.

Only downside i see is northern and western parts missing out on the snow fun

looking at the ecm 12z run i would say us north of birmingham can forget about snowfall anyone agree

Still got a feeling we may not see any sustained cold into the uk because of the high flux think the cold will head south missing the uk im afraid. Think we will be looking at another fail like dec for the uk. Due to the high flux

Think too many are expecting this ssw event to bring cold to the uk to be garenteed. Sorry but dont think it will happen like that. Never thought i would say it but im with brain gaze on this one. With the uk missing out on the cold. Think the models will firm up late weekened early next week. But not expecting anything cold and snowy to hit the uk im afraid. The esembles dont look too good for us. The azores high looks like remaining dominante keeping us on the mild side. All im saying is dont get your hopes up again. As you may be very dissapointed again.

I dont understand why everyone is getting so worked up over the gfs run we all know it has about 0% of happening. Expect a horror show from ecm now. Then end up with a half way house between ukmo and ecm perhaps. But in my opnion that gfs run has little chance of verifing.

Looks like were doing just the same as last week chasing the cold deep in fi. Think this is going to be another let down winter again. The models arent great for a deep cold outbreak. Think we will be seeing more upgrades from the models regarding even less chance of cold outbreak for us.

Very true he isnt right much. But it would be just the law of sod he gets this one right. even joe b was trying to convince him last night. But if he is right then fair play to him.

So big joe b is going for deep freeze december. Yet his buddy piers corbyn thinking the uk will be spared this cold outbreak. Very intresting times ahead. Think if piers ends up been correct he will certainly be one of the best out there. Because with all the ramping going on at the minute he is the only one who seems to think it will end up mild. Only time will tell i guess.

Think people are getting too hung up over the met office outlook. They are saying a possibility of cold at end of this month. Plus a cold winter. Now this is the met office guys who predicted bbq summers lol. Plus we were forecast heavy rain today. And what do we have?. Yes thats right blue sky and sunshine. So i will be taking there winter outlook with a huge pinch of salt to be honest. Is the ecm seasonal model onto something? Who knows only time will tell.

Not a good update from chio in the strat thread. He is going agaisnt the met outlook and stewarts outlook aswell. This is a worrying signal.He has more or less said it isnt good for cold fans. Oh dear. Never mind guess at least the energy companys who hiked up the prices can take a running jump. Hope for something abit colder come j/f time but im not holding my breath. It was looking promising a few weeks ago now not so much. Stupid strat. But we were warned a few weeks ago i seem to remember that this could be our nemasis to our winter.

The two buzz update is shocking news for coldies. Why we are chasing cold sypnotics deep in f1 when it wont even happen is beyond me. That is just setting ourselves up for a fall. Stewart and simon keeling seem to think it may be jan feb before we see the real cold. Although at this stage i think its impossible to be saying j/f could be the months. This year seems very similar to last year were we were chasing the cold outlooks. The charts for at least the next 14 days look very autuminal with very little sign of anything wintry.

Cant understand why his followers think he is so good. Some of the posts on his page make me laugh. They all seem to think we are heading for a 62/63 style winter. OH DEAR. But i guess when he fails again this winter people may then realise just how far fetched he can be. Well he is at it again. Vogan going for a high chance of a white xmas 70% for northern england 60% for southern england. If anyone remembers he was going for a white xmas last year right upto last minute. Even when it was obvious it wouldnt happen. I cant believe he actually charges now. And as someone said earlier it says expert annaylisis by mark vogan. Think he should give it up and stick to lorry driving.

Just wanted to put my 2 pennys worth out there. Joe laminate floori has been twittering some absolute rubbish a lately we were ment to be seeing snow with upto 4inch falling between now and november 5th. He has gone for a very cold november which at the moment also looking shakey. Then he reckons we could see a worse winter than 1947. Now call me sceptical but im sure he has just opened up a new website. Say no more really. But to me personally this winter could well have been blown out of all proportion again. Think november will be very autuminal dec avaerage with a few cold snaps jan stormy with our proper cold coming in feb. Which to me would mean abit of everything for everyone. But i do think people need to rain in there hopes of this winter because at the moment it could still go either way.
