To be honest i would put joe b in the same bracket as piers corbyn he is a cold ramper and little ice age man just like corbyn and he will always go onto the cold side of forecasts he got the usa winter extremley wrong last winter he was playing catch up all winter long in the usa so i wont be gettting excited over his snowmaggedon worst winter in 50yrs. I think we will see something a little more wintry than last winter but i dont see a 63 or 47 style winter at all.

Zakos yes joe b is well renound for his cold ramps he was going for cold in the uk last year infact he tweeted something around xmas that the uk would be seeing 15-20cm of snowfall widely only for him then to start back tracking. I think personally alot of us on here are getting ahead of ourselves yes enjoy the ramps etc but just remember this winter could yet dissapoint us all especially if the strat doesnt play ball this winter is far from nailed on to be cold in my opnion.

Sorry guys but i think we all need to calm down a little bit. I remember seeing all this positivity in 98/99 then again in 2003/2004 and we all no how that ended up.I know were all seeing some signs but lets just remember that we have seen all this before and look how it ended up i.e those dates above. Plus i put about as much faith in joe b as my wifes driving which is very little lol. Yes enjoy the signals and the cold ramps going up a notch but just remeber we have seen this all before so dont try build your hopes up too much because otherwise you could be very very dissapointed come winter. As ive been so many times.

Wouldnt put much faith in joe b he was forecasting same last winter for uk until he changed his tune at the last minute

As im new here and really dont have much clue about all the data etc. Could anyone please explain what the implication would be to our winter if we did have a cold strat. Would this once again make for a woeful winter like 2011/2012.

Our local council have been stock piling grit these past few weeks. Must admit the stock pile looks bigger than the previous years. Is it just me or does anyone else get gutted when the gritters come up there road and clear it all lol. Just really hope this winter delivers abit more than last winter did. But if not i guess we will have had alot of fun ramping it up. And getting excited about the charts only to be let down at the very last minute.

So what are the chances of this winter been mild overall. Please say slim lol

Had one slushy snowfall last winter. Just one decent snowfall that lasts more than one day and i would be happy this winter.
