    I have been looking at the models and I see High pressure is the most dominant theme going forward even the met office have now come in line.

    As the days progress so does the potential for more good weather.

    I have followed the met in the past and they are generally poor beyond a week, this has been the best place for picking up trends, remember last July's heat wave, it was picked up here first !

    Any thoughts on the medium term, ie rest of April would be much appreciated.

    Pressure never falls that low, even in the north, hopefully associated fronts and showers will not be too active.

    ECM appears to have moved next weeks High a little further North.

    Just listening to Michael Fish it appears that any High Pressure will be a transitory affair.

    The weight of evidence is for settled weather to gradually assert itself.

    It doesn't look that bad, pressure is trying to build and give us all some fine weather but we are just not there yet.

    So we now have agreement across the models that pressure will rise during the second week.

    Just looking at the jet it appears to have moved North by the second week in April.

    HP is still knocking on our door, it is still a good sign.

    Why do some here still wand cold Easterly winds and snow, we need to look forward to long Spring days and some warmth in the sunshine, that is why I get excited when I look at what the GFS and the ECM are indicating.

    It would appear that the weather is doing it's best to settle down but just can't make it, GFS seems to be the most optimistic here tonight, have a feeling we are trending towards some good spells in April.

    It is amazing that we are almost into October and the weather remains so quiet.

    It is amazing when a trend becomes established it becomes so hard to shift, all in all it is wonderful weather.

    That High over northern Europe looks very interesting indeed.
