  1. Only a matter of time surely? It just all seems very chaotic at the moment, not so long ago it was only showing a warning for snow tomorrow, then a warning for ice on Sat/Sun. This has now changed to snow warnings. I also wasn't expecting to see the sky so white tonight either.
  2. And now it has gone noticeably colder and it is full on snow.
  3. Was the same here, however it is starting to turn noticeably "snowier" if rather wet.
  4. Much bigger flakes now in Redcar, starting to stick slightly.
  5. First flakes have reached Redcar. Only very light at the moment, but at least it's something!
  6. Amazing, I haven't seen a flake from the same location. Whereabouts are you? Obviously don't need to give out the direct location of course, but I am next to Kirkleatham, away from the coast,
  7. Yeah, fine here too apart from the intermittent jumping. Easily watchable, fascinating in fact, but dangerous.
  8. http://www.myfoxny.com/category/233393/watch-good-day-live is providing excellent coverage.
  9. 2010 wouldn't have been that far off though, surely?
  10. I'm pretty certain whilst out an hour ago doing some shopping that I saw my first flakes of winter here at Redcar. Only very, very wet stuff, but noticeable flakes.
  11. I'm guessing it's no more than a bit of hail or sleet, but I'd love to be proven otherwise.
  12. I wasn't entirely sure where to put this one. Anyway, BBC Sport Football text has just claimed the following whilst covering the match......
  13. Similar here Gavin, a bit of standing water around and some fairly strong gusts but nothing too severe. On reading the overnight stuff, it seems that the worst may well be more to the west, we might just miss it. I cannot provide full analysis though, not like you guys so I'll have to use my own for now. Back Garden Tree Swayometer: Moderate Standing Water Outside Garage: Moderate
  14. OK, question from the uneducated here. After watching the V6 radar for several hours now, I was watching the upper bands approach my area. However, what was showing underneath these initial bands has now seemingly caught up and it all seems to be grouping together. After reading earlier in the thread that this thing may well arrive and not go anywhere fast, is that what is happening here, some kind of compression effect where the movement is stalling and the other end starts to catch up?
  15. Well, I joined the forum what, 20 minutes ago, and although it was bone dry and silent, the wind has suddently started to pick up a bit. Do I get bonus weather for joining and buying a NW Extra package?
  16. Hope nobody minds me joining in, new user here. Have lurked in the background for some time now, usually in the winter related threads. However, I do have an enormous interest in all types of weather and this problem child was the catalyst to finally sign up. Looks like the first bands will hit me in the next hour or so, with the heavy stuff to follow overnight. Also looks like I may have quite a ride tomorrow, a trip to the seafront is in order.
