Right then, what can we realistically expect in the next 48 hours. Having followed the mood swings in the Mod thread I am non the wiser. Help!

Not on any model did it forecast that complete shower I witnessed at the Riverside this afternoon. Sadly like this winter our season has gone belly up

lovely and sunny, feels warmer than the 2 degrees showing lovely bright low sun, bad for driving and watching the TV lying on the sofa

If we get little snow over the next few days, what is the point in watching models and forecasting more than 36 hours in advance?

This place has been a bit of a godsend. Having to travel the whole North of the country for work, i'd be flying blind if i had to stick with BBC forecast. They are only going as far as lunchtime sunday. I appreciate that its a complex set up but only giving 48-36 hrs forecast is a bit pathetic. When would I get information regarding heavy snow showers on Mon/Tue? Of course it might not happen and we might not get any snow on Sunday, but couldnt they outline the possibilities of what is possible early next week?

We'll beat Barsley and Leeds and go up. How's that for a forecast? If we do get a good dumping on sun/mon/tue I just hope we are not childish and start posting photo's in other regional threads. Very very childish

Back on again

Only lasted 15-20 mins but has left cm or so. Just caught the leading edge and you could see the hail comming down in bucket loads against the bright sky.

10 mins of very heavy hail/graupel now followed by heavy snow. Heaviest I have seen this year. Lovely

Whitby cut off by blizzards again. Looks like we missed out by only 20 or so miles and a bit of elevation

Had the odd flurry here this morning. All ppn has fallen as snow, but not much. Is just a case of radar watching and trying to catch the odd shower?

Haven't you just confirmed it to be a late night event? Or do you see it starting at tea time? So after the snow stops are there clear skies or does the rain follow straight away?

So, it's going to snow late at night for a few hours, and be washed away by heavy rain on the morning. What a complete non event. Can't even watch it fall during the day

Not the south west like last weekend, as it never reached us. Is this supposed to be the front that brings the milder air with it or the last hurrah before the milder air

Heavy snow on Friday? Really? Where is this coming from? If it's from the South East again doesn't that rule out Teesside?

Not for the whole area. Nunthorpe is less than five miles to Middlesbrough town centre and we still have over six inches of snow.
