    Went to bed at 12.30 while it was flurrying , just got up expecting a dusting . But nothing . Looks from the radar like the main band will get here 2 or 3 hours early though , i recon an eta in Orpington of about 8.15 .

    Take a look at what is developing over holland and belgiam ! It looks like its heading straight for us ! If the west doesn't reach us , the beast might !

    Has anyone else noticed all that energy coming up through Germany in a NNW direction . If our storm on saturday is timed right , the wrap around easterlies could well invite it to the party . Any thoughts ?

    Looking over to the east , there is a lot of energy and cloud coming up through switzerland into germany . If we get that forecast easterly tomorrow , we could be in buisiness ! Any thought ?

    That low currently off to the nw of Ireland doesn't seem to be making any progress at all eastwards , just going due south !

    Please don't delete this message again , its a genuine question , model related . Could someone please tell me what a short wave is and why it is sometimes good and sometimes bad from a coldies point of view ? This isn't the place to be asking these questions, it moves too quickly, and the team are trying to keep things on track, so your posts will either get lost in the sands of time, or be removed.     Some good charts starting to apear in FI , with a bigh high establishing itself to the north west of ireland dragging winds all the way from nortern russia .

    Lets hope that we're not going to get cold rain with raw easterlies , that are just a degree or two too warm for snow . I'm sure this won't happen and we'll all get some hood laying snow !
