  1. Alls quiet here, not a drop, bang or flash. Currently 17c with 94% humidity
  2. That storm took out my landline and blew my pc. I had my hand on the mouse when lightening struck and had a horrible tingle go up my arm.
  3. I don't want it to end! Now its the summer holidays yay! and so we want the good weather to continue. Temp still at 27c here.
  4. Well all I can say is that its gurt lush. I'm such a happy bunny and completely in my element with the sun and heat. I've walked miles with my camera and seen some fantastic sights and have seen 2 new butterflies so far. A bit too hot for me to go cycling though. I found this old post, I should start my own forecasting company South West & Central Southern England Regional Discussion 22/03/13 08z -----> Posted by Bumpkin on 27 March 2013 - 18:15 in Regional Discussions 'Dorsetbred', on 27 Mar 2013 - 18:06, said: When I come out of hibernation I shall predict a glorious summer and hope that I can forecast better than Phil because Phil's predictions have been correct only 39% of the time
  5. 19c and generally sunny albeit with more clouds in the sky than yesterday.
  6. We got up to about 23c today and i took my daughter and Labrador out for a picnic and game of football, sunshine was glorious Pregnant?
  7. At 19c but feels much cooler because of the wind. Feels pleasant in sheltered spots. Wind is really whipping across my garden and Im surprised my washing is still clinging on to the line. But I'm certainly not going to moan because last year is still fresh in the memory. I've got cross with a couple of people this week for moaning about the weather being too warm and too dry, I had to contain my violent urges
  8. Bigger cracks of thunder and have seen a few flashes. I've had to put the radio on for my old Labrador as she doesn't like it and i have to go out in a minute. She's currently raving to kiss fm as that was the first station I came across
  9. I can answer my own question, raining here now and can hear distant rumbles. From your direction Lyn so we are probably hearing the same rumbles.
  10. Afternoon. Cool and cloudy here to end a glorious week. Looking to my East/SE out of the window the sky is a bluey grey and has an orangey colour to it in the distance, are there storms in that direction? Husband and boys have gone camping this weekend but I’m hoping that the Forest of Dean is too far north for the rain and storms.
  11. I'm not sure but i think plum might like wet conditions. I have 3 damson trees and a greengage tree in my garden and last year I had a ridiculous amount of fruit, I was giving away bagfulls! This year very little blossom so not looking good. But my apple tree looked spectacular and the crab-apple trees in the fields and woods were covered in blossom. Blackthorn looked like white fluffy clouds and the hawthorn is just coming out and should be quite a sight. I'm rather liking the look of the high pressure building in as long as there is plenty of sunshine, always feel that the warmth is wasted if its cloudy. Talk of thundery breakdown at the end of next week on the model thread which I am hoping is not true. I know there are lots of storm fans here but my husband and sons are camping next weekend Me Me!!
  12. Its a peasant day every day here Its been a lovely few days and I've been out with the camera taking photos of butterflies. More cloud today and it does feel chilly when a cloud goes over the sun. I think our local station on wunderground might have a few problems as its been recording temps of 32c. Either a malfunction or its in full sunlight. Its currently reading at 25.7c and it is nowhere near that in reality.
  13. Absolutely piddling down, all gone dark and the sky is funny colour.
  14. 16c and cloudy boooo! Out in the fields the air did feel quite close and muggy, so I agree with Cornish snow..
  15. Beautiful day, the sort of day where I am in my element. Went off on my bike this afternoon with my camera hung around my neck. I saw 5 varieties of butterflies but struggled to get photos as they were so active in the sunshine. Although it was a lovely surprise to have this stunning sunshine this afternoon when cloud was forecast I was caught out because my daughter sunburnt her face at school, luckily nothing major and I've put cream on her. I shall have to keep suncream in her bag from now on just in-case there are any other mis-forecasts!
  16. Not really, just hazy bits for a few seconds and we got up to 16.5c. Sunny first thing this morning but more cloud now and 13.5c
  17. 13.2c and cloudy. Nice not to have to wrap up like an Eskimo when you go out. Hopefully the sun will make an appearance today but is looking unlikely.
  18. Get your fish and chips at the boathouse, best ever. I stayed in Torcross a couple of years ago.
  19. Apparently we will make it up to 11c at the weekend with rain and cloudiness. I noticed a conversation on previous pages on Northern blocking in the summer. Firstly don't take too much notice of Metcheck and secondly my understanding is that if the block pushes the jetstream south then we pull in cooler and wetter weather from the west/NW. Last summer a high over Greenland forced the jetstream south, probably depends on the placement of the block.
  20. Some colourful blobs on the radar in that part of the world.
  21. I've had the rain radar running for a few hours now so I could keep an eye on things whilst my washing was outside drying. The showers seem to do exactly what snow showers do and break and go around us. My washing is lovely and dry Sunny spells here currently.
  22. My husband saw a swallow 2 days ago and the starlings seem to have gone. The little garden birds are busy, sparrows in and out of the roof and a male blue tit keeps attacking his reflection in our doors and windows. Now just waiting for things to green up abit.
  23. My poor bank account looks rather sick especially as I have just paid a chunk of money to change his insurance over to a full licensed driver and 2 months insurance, although he will pay me back. it costs a fortune to start out now, we had it easy.
  24. Thanks AWD. I will have to be patient for the long awaited Azores high
  25. Grotty, rainy and 6c but I'm full of sunshine as my son has just passed his driving test. My ears pricked up with the mention of warmer weather but does that mean sunny too? Met have me down for 13c and cloudy during Sunday with light rain in the evening.
