  1. Yep, there's actually been two different forecasts since then! Matt Taylor was the first to say about the SE receiving heavy snow! I feel if things continue this way, Kent/london/south Essex could do very well out of this
  2. Phil Avery: "A slow burner, but Kent up through London, through the midlands towards the NW" "SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL possibly up to 10cm" I'm sure more changes are likely but compared to yesterday's washout this is a massive upgrade!
  3. No one is ramping! The BBC news channel just said significant snow for Kent......?????!!!!???? Who's ramping? The BBC you mean? Also I suggest you read the latest Meto warnings. A possible 10cm of snow for Kent, Essex and the midlands!!
  4. Phil Avery live broadcast just now. Significant snowfall for Kent! What a difference a day makes, yesterday it was the north Midlands for heavy snow and Kent just rain!
  5. Updated Meto warnings. Yellow warnings covering London, Kent, herts, Cambridgeshire etc. Not so good areas to the SW of London. This will change again anyway! http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/#?regionName=ta&tab=map&map=Warnings&zoom=7&lon=-1.04&lat=52.85&fcTime=1360324860
  6. No he actually said East London, which is rather weird at this range! Lots of changes to come, so to point point an area for the Heavier snow is a little premature at this stage!
  7. Matt Taylor just said that the SE particularly East London could get more than the rest of the UK. Some areas could see 2-4cm others could see 12cm Then others - not much at all Still lots of uncertainty
  8. Yes, just watched the live BBC weather forecast. It's our region that looks in for the most snow, completely different to this time yesterday. The graphics on the weather map showed no ppn above Birmingham for later tonight into Monday morning. Matt Taylor did say "this could be slightly further north" or "slightly further south" He said to expect 3-5cm of snow Hopefully the models don't start moving this low to drastically today, at the moment I think the track it's taking will deliver for us.
  9. BBC weather graphics. Snow starting at 5pm tomorrow from Brighton through to London. Didn't go any further. What a turnaround from this time yesterday!
  10. Nice 18z tonight. Increases the snow chances. Hopefully this continues tomorrow
  11. I know, almost a surreal moment. The lightning out towards Loughton way, was so bright, lit up the whole sky!
  12. Go here if you want to talk about weather the other side of the world: http://forum.netweat.../page__st__2540
  13. Yep just witnessed this! How loud was that thunder? Couldn't believe it
  14. Sorry I didn't realise you were joking! Anyone who is by the TV try and catch the Beeb forecast on bbc1 shortly. It should be updated to the UKMO 12z
  15. I was going to post the BBC evening news forecast at 6:25pm. Not so sure anymore, I thought I was giving info to the thread but it seems I'm just annoying members by posting the updates!
  16. Press the ignore button if you don't like my input in this thread.
  17. Every new live forecast yes! Is that ok? I thought it would be of interest in here.
  18. Susan Powell live broadcast 10 minutes ago. "Midlands and Northern England in firing line for heavy snow" Lucky buggers
  19. Does anyone know how the GEM model performed running up to the last cold spell with regards to snow ppn?
  20. Why what's wrong with this thread? It's just members expressing their views. If we all had the same opinion it would be rather boring don't you think?
