  1. Yeh my sister text me about the signs! Growing up round here, whenever those Severe Weather signs are out it usually means business!
  2. Sister just tex me: Those illuminating signs over the motorway. Junction 24 of M25 - big illuminating over head sign! Heavy Snow Tomorrow, be prepared! I don't wana jinx, but whenever that happens around here you can be sure a reasonable amount of snow will fall!
  3. Good - last time they done that as 'Vince Coombes' confirms, the NAE were spot on and they were wrong!
  4. I don't moan... If it rains it rains - nothing I can do about it! I would love to know where your info is coming from for me to see cold rain in Essex? Did anyone just see Peter Gibbs forecast on BBC1 just now? Heavy snow for London Northwards from 9pm... COME ON!
  5. Yes twitter @essexweather Who ever they are they have been spot on for me during this cold spell, big following too.
  6. BBC - Snow setting in over Essex at 9pm tomorrow! Meto - warning of 2-5cm NAE - heavy snow (best performing model this winter) Essex weather twitter - up to 5cm Weather pros on twitter - still looking good for snow London Northwards
  7. Me too, I think I'm going to come off the forum and just wait for tomorrow! So many "know it alls" in here thinking they can predict if it will snow, better than the pros. Stick with good old fashioned TV forecasts! At the moment we all look good for snowfall and BBC/Meto confirm. But still others arguing this is wrong! It may all go wrong - cest la vie!
  8. Tweaking the warnings for good or bad? Exactly we don't know! Anyway Ian F is a great guy but his predictions and "inside info" for my area have been pretty inaccurate during this cold spell. And I also find his quotes do not even match Meto predictions! Stop hating and just be happy that the north of the region might get some snow before the rain arrives Everyone's acting as if Ian F has said "no snow" He said "less amounts"
  9. Unfortunately 'tight isobar' some will do everything in their power to lead people to think snow chances are off for tomorrow! Meto/BBC/warnings/twitter/some models all pointing to snowfall London North tomorrow starting from 9pm :-) Of course it could all go t**ts up tomorrow but of course - it might not! Let's not all forget how bad the GFS performed during this cold spell ppn wise and how spot on the NAE was... Yeah we have all forgotten that haven't we!! He said - less amounts Hardly downplaying! What? 2cm instead of 5cm - I'll take that
  10. Still sounds good to me. Was never expecting large accumulations anyway! 2cm to see out the cold spell will do just fine, thank you very much
  11. Peter Gibbs live forecast just now: Still lots of snow forecast for this region tomorrow. "One last chance to build a snowman" peters words, not mine!
  12. Peter Gibbs live forecast just now: Still lots of snow forecast for this region tomorrow. "One last chance to build a snowman" peters words, not mine!
  13. What the mild weather is going to melt the snow? Really? Never? Talk about Meto stating the obvious, I'm sure even non weather geeks could come to that assumption! Lol
  14. Well I'll be at the pub until 11:30pm by which time it would have started snowing here anyway! I don't think most snow lovers would be bothered that they have to wait up until the early hours. Especially as its the last snow for the foreseeable future!
  15. Well if you have at his twitter page he says possible 2/5cm across London for tomorrow. So the above blog is pretty useless now
  16. Tragic for who? I don't see anyone sobbing either!!! Even if 1cm - so what! That's still nice to see before the mild crap moves in!
  17. Essexweather on twitter say it will start snowing around 10pm here tomorrow. Nice! Those guys have been spot on during this cold spell
  18. Absolute nonsense! That even gives the Amber warning areas for Snow, Rain instead! Don't worry guys, things haven't changed. Snow still looking good for snow north of London tomorrow! NAE 12z gives 10cm tomorrow - that's more like it
  19. By all means play your song if its raining outside my window tomorrow night. Until then - the party's over - on Saturday
  20. That's what I was saying earlier, the Beeb usually do really well in these set ups! But with members on here saying the complete opposite to what the BBC TV forecasters tells, it can become very confusing!
  21. Well it's you and Paul against the BBC then. Although Meto do favour South London Northward! Lunchtime forecast still shows heavy snow across most of region tomorrow! I really hope the Beeb are correct and most in this region get to enjoy a couple hours snowfall at least before the mild dross!
