Heavy rain showers forecast for Friday,,,Guarantee the French won't nick themStarting to brighten up, I can understand the frustration with the heavy stuff in the channel but hey Ho it's the Channel Islands turn. Good luck to them. What is more frustrating is that the French are getting some!!!!!

https://www.youtube.... Camalot/ Cornwall Legal law to climate,,,,,Winter finishes March 2nd on dotI think it's a case of poor old cornwall once again.
We must all be magicians because somehow,we always seem to magic the snow away.

Young new born lambs been rescued off hillside, They very wet and cold but will be ok, Still light snow with dusting on grass,,,,The main issue being the windchill..
Time for hot drink and see what transpires for rest of day

Wind blowing snow horizontal, moving across hills like fine smoke, The wind is whistling around houses, Looks, sounds, feels like deep mid winter,,
Some of cars passing on A352 have much more of covering on there roofs, suspect higher ground getting little bit heavier than my location,
Still sheep out on hill with very young lambs
-
Light snow in strong wind,,covering on hills

Yes very light, just slight dusting on car but ground very wet,Same her, it'll take an awful lot of what's coming down to make it even look white come tomorrow!
-

Just very light snow blowing in bitterly cold wind,,,,,,Need to see how developes later tonight and even into tomorrow morning, before we can judge this snow event,
All I know is tonight feels colder than any of the winter nights of this past winter,,
-

The light snow now over East of region is sizzling out,,,,,,,,,,,,The main interest will be what is only now develping and could push up from channel, Already can see first signs of it starting to fan out to eventually reach coastle areas of region,,,How much development and how far inland will be down to radar,,,,,,,,,,,, Can see line ppn reaching West of Plymouth nicely,,,
-
Potential risk later in night,,,,,,,,,,,,,Moving in from channel low that expecting also hit channel Islands [ Won't mention word France]my thoughts exactly George , how can they put an amber warning over our area and only forecast a bit of light snow.
Understand Meto work on 60% risk factor
-

Agree,,,,,,We just under 3 weeks to Easter, Recently experienced awful slate grey dry cold spell, Some snow falling in brisk cold wind would be very exceptable last wintery spell before spring, Anymore than that would be Mother natures bonus for South WestThat made me laugh you make it sound like a common winter event 2 - 4cm for west country this winter is a big deal...
Lets hope this upgrades into a 'winter storm' with alot more falling
-
Just Itsy Bitsy northerly track from that low and could be memorable March snow event for South West,,,,,,,,
-
Bet even the guys at Exeter Met office, wondering if they can get home after there late shift,,,,,,Fortunately not going to be long before we know what will happen,,,,,,,,Remember days when warnings suddenly vanish after getting excited,,,,,,You are in for very good chance this time aroundI really hope so Chris, although it's not showing on those websites when I looked at the anticipated ppn but I believe you.
Wow can you imagine if we had taken a direct hit of that low? Bloody France! Grrrrrrrrrrr lol
-
The dreaded word Marginal not coming into equation which is rare down here especially in March,,,,We just need decent ppn,,,,,,,Not myself too bothered about snow cover that lasts for days, just like to see falling snow before Real Spring sets in
-
All about trends,,,,,Yesterday risk was no doubt trending away, Met office had removed Yellow warning for today,,,,,,,,,,,Now yellow again for today and Amber just added for Dartmoor and torbay area,,,,,,Trending right direction, but still need keep eye on situation, The situation is fluid and developing
-
Dartmoor under Amber warning for Monday,,,,,,,,All looking promising Just little shift North and deepening of low please
-

Only problem with being Weather forum member and radar watcher is realise how close we came to memorable event for our region,,,,,,Bit like being one digit away on all your lottery numbers,,,,,,So close but butters no parsnips
