Correct. Having looked at the run again properly it still eventually moves northward anyway still giving a good dollop of snow for all. More so for the east but it still looks fine to me. But I still think it will be a fri event and not sat. We will see in the morn.

Yeah prob only going one way from here I’m afraid. I know it’s the 18z and all that but on several occasions this winter it’s been the 18z that spotted the trend first. It’s the reason why I didn’t get to excited by it. But we will see where we are tomorrow. Could be all different.

Yep all over hyped for them in the SE. Met office text update still hasn’t changed from this morn for weds to fri even with fri warning out. Utterly bizzare. I don’t think anybody has a clue what’s going on.

It’s a rollercoaster. Hard to tell what’s going to happen. But with each run that comes out nearer the time and we are still in the game I’m getting more confident. Positive thoughts everybody.

Couldn’t agree more. Nothing was even hinted at for today and look at the radar. It’s trying ! Can’t ask any more than that. Obviously some convection going on.

Just watched updated bbc national weather and it still look good for thurs and Friday blizzard still showing to cover much of Ireland north and south with the the only exception be the extreme NW which may miss out but even here looked good for thurs most of the day. Obviously a constant changing situation

Yeah because it looked really good this morn on all weather forecasts so would be surprised on such a big shift. But anyway you can’t be a good old radar watch at min. ?

Strange because angie said a warning is likely Friday as well. Ah well. Who knows. What will be will be. The one I saw looked great. Must have changed in that case.

Hope so. Would be great to go out with a bang at least on fri. I just hope we get more snow showers from weds than is being forecast via convection.

Personally I think that’s our only chance because even though we are in a warning weds and thurs I can’t see it coming to much shower activity wise. As MS says maybe SE NI but everywhere else looks dry. For me it’s get lucky with this low or a bust and that would be awful considering all the background signals.

South should do really well. For the north as a whole including the east coast of northern. Ireland I don’t think there will be much disruptive snow ar all. Maybe thurs night and fri if the low hits us but apart from that nothing special at all here. Wouldn’t be surprised it meto change their warnings for the north either but obviously things could change for the better but presently it’s not great. Southern Ireland looks great though.

O dear def not the best of run this morning at all from the GFS. Looks like the snow has been downgraded for quite a few of us. The great Blizzard seems to be losing intensity as well. And to add to that the updated text forecast is certainly a downgrade this morn. Gone is the frequent snow showers for all to just occasional snow showers which are mainly in south and east. Time for changes but not a good trend this morn at all and i wouldn't expect much disruption from that text forecast. Just hope a trainee updated that this morn. Met Eireann update will be interesting shortly

In work so cannot see the models. Are we still on for good snow then and Is this blizzard still on the cards for the whole of Ireland including the north? Are we still looking good for Tuesday avo onwards MS in the East

Looks brillliant to be fair. If I get 4 days of snowing falling on and off followed by mild I won’t grumble. We could be sick of snow by then. From what turned out to be SE England and mainland affair this is actually getting better and better by day for us. Mod thread non to happy st the moment u can imagine.

North should get some of that action to i would imagine.

Well if low doesn’t hit us then I’m sure it’s just more of the same with frequent heavy snow showers. If it happens of course.

Cool. Maybe the east might get a little snow for once. But we will see. Is this low/ blizzard supposed to hit us or not fri. Haven’t checked models.
