BBC weather app is showing snow in Bermondsey constantly from 7am to 6pm tomorrow. LOL

What are the chances of a change in wind direction overnight? Had enough of these northeasterlies and living in the shadow of East Anglia.

The issue is that it ain't an easterly. It is a North Easterly which delivers nothing you London or Surrey. Happy for Kent but getting a bit tired of reading 'best snow ever' etc reports. Bring on summer in all honesty.
Agreed! Still interested to see what the system on Friday might bring but I'm not going to get any hopes up.
-
South coast of Ireland is currently doing better than here in London, in an easterly! Not fair!
-
Sun is back out now after an impressive shower. Go away! Bring on the next one
-
In less than 10 minutes it has gone from nothing on surfaces to completely white. If this keeps up we're sorted!

Here we go! Suddenly really heavy and very dark skies!

Snow shower finally starting to beef up a bit here in Bermondsey. Let's see if it can last longer than 5 minutes this time

Wow, a lot changed over London area since I left for work at 11.30am. Loads of snow showers spreading west of London, drove through several going across south London, down the A3 than round the M25 to Heathrow where I work. Love the 'snow curtains' marking the front of the showers before going in a visibility reducing.
Hopefully those who missed out in London are a little more happy now, though showers only giving a dusting for now.
Still got no more than a couple of flakes floating through the air here...

A few flakes floating in the air in Bermondsey. Not sure if it's going to come to much, surrounding skies brightening
-
Sunny here with very dark skies to the north and east.

Sky still darkening here but not a flake. Showers not coming far west enough..
-
Fizzling out at M25
EDIT: Sky has just got darker...

So far this is definitely not an 'historic nationwide event' that many people had been going on about last week. Still a few days left though, let's see

So guys in the no snow zone
Watch that radar today- swing point around mid to late morning when showers 'should' start edging up the thames-
Yep I noticed this. Let's hope it happens!

On the plus side, it looks like I will get some work done today and won't be distracted by snow

a few flurries might get going later a bit like yesterday but substantial settling snow across the conurbation - not likely
I had a feeling this would be the case for us, always seems to be.

Still under the Met's amber zone for today. No idea why
-
Are we to expect anything in Central/SE London today? I hope this won't be another wild goose chase
-
London looks a bit marginal tomorrow on BBC weather. Here's hoping
-
Snow showers have now turned to polystyrene ball showers in Bermondsey. Not good enough!
-
Heavy showers on and off in Bermondsey with sunshine in between. Not bad at all! Not lasting long enough though for proper accumulations but dusting seems to be staying on surfaces. Hopefully it will pick up more steadily later
-
Sky brightening now, sun coming out and snow much lighter but a good dusting on surfaces. Radar looks like more is possible for the next couple of hours?
-
Getting heavier now and falling sideways in the wind ? This was not expected!

Not that I pay any attention to the iPhone weather app, but what model does it get its data from? It says snow for most of night for London which is obviously wrong. And similarly, BBC app says snow all day tomorrow.
