I've been to Harrison Drive in Wallasey by the Derby Pool and ended up moving my car. The waves are huge!!!

Sorry guys but i think this is my fault. I told the wife that we would get snow and then the charts changed. Its happened every time i tell her. Will keep my mouth shut in future.

Netweather has said Wallasey will get nothing at all.

Chris - Its' really windy here in Wallasey and absolutely freezing in that wind. I went out about 2 hours ago and it was quite mild but very windy and now that wind chill is brrrrrrrrrr
-
I went out just before 9am to take my son to college and it felt as if snow was in the air, now I know its not forecast but 2 other people said it too, maybe they had wishful thinking too

I love these cold frosty days. Never expected so much frost on my car this morning though

Well it is so windy here in Wallasey

Possibly, it all depends on how things develop during tonight and tomorow morning rea surface temperatures. Will have a better idea tomorrow lunch time when we can see how much the cold air undercuts the Low as it moves away.
Can't wait!! I work in a different office on Wednesdays and one boss is a snow lover and loves Xmas and one hates it all. Needless to say we put the xmas tree up in october and keep praying for snow haha

Evaporative cooling. Will play a part for us tomorrow, but I think we're too far gone for tonight.
So you think we may get some tomorrow Chris?
-
5.5C but feels like 0C, the strong northerly wind really hurts the ears!
I'm in Upton at work - just opened gates to the yard and it was freezing!!! Couldn't wait to open the office and put the fire on!!
-
I can see over Liverpool is very black clouds and over Wales was too. I'm stuck in the middle with nothing!!
-
I just downloaded the weather channel app so at least I can look whilst I'm out tomorrow
-
Bring it on!!

Where are you Moki?
-

Hopefully it's one I can learn more about it. Our weather here is so different to anywhere else in the country and seems to be very difficult to predict

If that's the 9th you are talking about then yes, it hit here as well. 2 lightning strikes and loads of hail. Came from a similar set up to tonight I suppose, with a warm irish sea and cold upper air.
I need to learn more about all this - I have always been interested in the weather but only lately started to wonder how to read the charts etc so I suppose a good time to start is now. Would be good to have a good storm I think. Our bedroom window has a clear view across the market gardens so when there is a storm over the sea we have brilliant views

Yes same here, it was 5.6C now it's dropped to 5.0C, although there is, according to local obs model at Hilbre, a strengthening wind later which will potentially quell the fall in temperatures. Any prolonged clear spell is going to bring the chance of ice however, even on the coast.
Well even better, as if it rumbles over Wallasey, I will probably catch it too.
Actually a few weeks ago, I was in Birko and saw that thunderstorm over Wallasey after nightfall, quite a short one though.
There was a big load of hail dumped there nearly 2 weeks ago and Grove Road was completely white and thick with hail. Went around the corner to the Lighthouse pub and there was virtually none!!

Thundery showers would be an excellent addition to the night, certainly thing are very unstable now, the yo-yo-ing temperature is testament to that. If you get thunder (you'll get it before I hear it), let us know so I can stick an ear out of the window.. should be able to hear a rumble from Crosby way.
And I am in the middle in Wallasey so I will hear it too lol
