  1. The latest from Fergie. Ian Fergusson @fergieweather W COUNTRY Heavier rain rates later may also turn to sleet or snow elsewhere, but settling may prove limited. Ditto tonight in wintry showers So it looks like it's on a knife edge for snow in northern parts of the region with altitude and heaviness of ppn being a factor. An interesting day ahead for some.
  2. A lovely morning here, clear skies and very frosty. In fact I don't think we had one morning as frosty as this last Autumn/Winter so already an improvement from a cold perspective.
  3. Ian Fergusson â€@fergieweather 6h W COUNTRY #ukstorm Latest UKMO analysis consistent w previous broadcasts: 60-70mph gusts inland SW/W Country; & now adding 30% Prob 80-90mph Batten down the hatches!!

  5. Yes Offerman, I love AWD's informative posts and of course I F's regular updates. How lucky are we to have them posting in our local forum!Yes fingers crossed for the possible snow at the end of the week, it's certainly looking very possible. One last icy blast before some nice Spring warmth would be nice.
  6. Morning all. Have woken up to the lightest of snow flurries here in North Bristol. Looking at the radar, a few more flurries coming in from the East. Have a good day and keep warm!
  7. I know the feeling. Just as it becomes cold enough for snow here, all the decent ppn is just to the north east. Just a few sleety flakes here now.
  8. A friend of mine informs me that it's snowing in Coleford apparently.
  9. Haha funniest thing I've seen whilst lurking on this site. Cheers for the laugh.
  10. Well what a nice surprise! After half an hour of moderate snow and the temperature still well below freezing, everything in Patchway is now white!
  11. Morning all! Have woken up to a snow flurry falling out of a mainly blue sky. Looks like a few snow showers are the order of the day for this part of the world.
  12. Snow showers in North Bristol this afternoon. Currently having the heaviest one yet!
  13. Cold, dull with snow grains here in North Bristol. As much as I love some proper winter weather, I'm now ready for and hoping for some milder, sunnier weather.
  14. A few snow grains blowing about in the wind in North Bristol.
  15. Thanks Ian for taking the time to keep us all updated, it's much appreciated.
  16. After over an hour of very light snow it's finally pepped up. Moderate snow with nice big flakes here in North Bristol now.
  17. I was just thinking the same thing. With the ppn on our doorstep and the temperature still only just above freezing, it's more than likely going to be snow!
  18. Yes that ppn is moving over quite rapidly and doesn't seem to be fizzling out. Fingers crossed for a dusting maybe.
  19. Temperature on the way down in Alveston, South Glos. 6.1c down to 5.9c in the last 10 minutes!
