  1. Awww I know how you feel I'm so sorry to hear your sad news, it may be too soon but think of the most likely wonder loving life Wizzy had with you, some aren't so lucky. I hope you feel better soon.
  2. Pretty much a non event in Exeter, some sleet and heavy rain but i'm told area's surrounding us, especially to the north and east have had a good amount if snow of snow!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Lol!!!
  3. Just been sleet and rain in Exeter where I am, huge dissapointment for me, still holding out for a good snow fall at some point but I fear we may always be just that tad bit too mild....Hopefully a beautiful Devon summer will make up for it. I was kind of hoping for a repeat of Winter 2010/11
  4. Exeter is in Devon, it's been snowing around the edge of the city though on elevations argh!
  5. Half an hour of snow here, 5 hours of rain....Soooo disappointed we are in Exeter to rose that got it though enjoy it! Oh well I guess winters not over and there's always hope for a beautiful summer. Feel let down by forecasters though
  6. I am a little envious of the counties east of Devon, you are going to get sooo much snow....We seem to be on the boundary of it alot of times At least we'll get a good dusting overnight and things could change, you never know
  7. I'm sorry to hear that :9 You never know....I think Exeter in Devon should get a good amount though, maybe at least 5 inches or more
  8. Oh I hope Exeter get a good lot of snow! I'm hoping the snow has moved even slightly mmore west so we'd benifit and also poor old Cornwall too
  9. It's now trying to snow in Exeter, I can see some flakes... I am hoping very much this is a sign of things to come
  10. Does anyone know what to expect weather wise in Exeter? As its nearer east devon than west, I want lots of snow so bad! So far I think we'll get some but we seem on the boundary in most precipitation type charts? I hope it moves westwards more lol
  11. Well you never know it may change and stall over us...I know the feeling, we've lucked out so much in regards to snow, I hope we have a great summer to make up for it!
  12. Arghhh I going to committ myself!! Lol You couldn't write it could you! Sorry I have to laugh as we're hardly the tropics! Someone said oh well at least you get lovely summers and I nearly fainted!
  13. Can you send a link because for southwest especially Devon and Cornwall I saw six hours worth which is better than nothing
  14. It has not snowed (apart form a couple snow flakes) once yet this winter in Devon & Cornwall....You guys are lucky that live in the South East and North....You always see all the snow!!! Our nearest hope is this Friday and already that is being downgraded for us, I'll still have a little hope though
  15. I hope so but Metcheck and GF 'Precipitation Type' Charts show it just being sleet or rain though our counties then turning to snow thRough Somerset/Dorset/Gloucestershire and Wiltshire etc It originally was showing a potential 12 hours of snow for us in Devon and even a good few hours in Cornwall but going by the charts it's been downgraded which we've kind of gotten used to this winter...Any snow event that has been predicted to come our way has been downgraded, I'm hopeful for this Friday but the latest models aren't encouraging.
  16. Yes everywhere but the southwest ie Devon & Cornwall yet again!!!!!....Hopefully the charts will look better for us later
  17. I'm trying to remain positive but like you I feel like it's been dissapointment after dissapointment this winter in regards to snow for the Southwest...Lets see what Friday brings....Fingers and toes crossed...I think if it's just rain and sleet in Devon and Cornwall I will scream! lol
  18. Thankyou for this although I'm just going to be quietly optimistic as any snow that has been preforecasted for the likes of Devon and Cornwall tends to get downgraded a hell of a lot so I'll be very quietly hopeful.... Thankyou for posting this though, it's really informative
  19. Will the southwest ever get a decent snowfall this winter, we always seem to be too mild by one or two degrees arghh.....I know there's still the rest of winter but I am starting to think that the SSW is a storm in a tea cup for us down here and I really thought it would a nationwide event instead of always being the south East and North that get the snow
  20. You should feel sorry for us in the southwest....We had like 5 snowflakes last night, so small you couldn't see them but that's been all so far this winter....It's always rain here then turns to snow as it moves through the rest of the country, at least you'll be having a better chance of snow than us The only effects we've felt so far with the SSW is that it's just been very cold and rainy!!
  21. Why do the south east, east coast and north keep having snow events but nothing for the southwest, we had a very few flurries last night! So much for the SSW....if this is how it's going to be all winter than i'd rather it just be weather coming in from the atlantic to chuck a few gales our way...Rather than this cold (but not cold enough for snow) weather and rain!
  22. I'm kind of confused?! Bbc weather week ahead shows no snow all week for southwest (yet again only east coast, Scotland and maybe Wales) but the charts on here suggest otherwise...BBC are usually spot on...I'm beginning to think this SSW is becoming a storm in a tea cup especially for us in southwest...anyway link is below to the week ahead weather from bbc http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/feeds/21003935
