  1. They haven't got the other one working yet, may be they can't get to it anymore, who knows. I don't know if the other vents have stopped being active though, have they said something somewhere?
  2. Yep, been missing them today. Normally check in every couple of hours for a while.
  3. Watching Iceland last night, I couldn't help thinking, all those fissures are gonna be one great big long one soon. More keep coming, and right now I think the dynamic is, lava on the top, is melting down, to whether the lava tube is, and boom another fissure opens.
  4. Yes, I was watching Bob last night, she was so active, I watch her widen, as bits of the cone were falling into her internal lava lake of the lower vent.
  5. Why would anyone risk doing that. Sounds like it's close enough to be hit by one, perhaps using the easy river route, which could make it longer, less friction to slow it.
  6. I hope more people some how got out of the red zone before all this kicked off.
  7. One of the times when I wish I could speak the language, might have got it then. The translation just doesn't make any sense.
  8. The rescue team Þorbjörn claims to be responsible for the eruption Rescue workers are especially fun. Therefore, visitors to the eruption sites in Geldingadalur have gotten to know in communication with people from the Þorbjörn Rescue Squad in Grindavík. On their Facebook page, they reveal their responsibility for the beginning of the eruption. People have been so upset by the constant earthquakes that they have used a particularly large match to light a fire. The problem, however, is that now they have no idea how to turn it off again. Bein útsending frá gosstöðvunum: Nýjar sprungur opnast WWW.RUV.IS Eldgos hófst í Geldingadölum í Fagradalsfjalli um klukkan korter í níu í föstudagskvöldið 19. mars 2021. Á hádegi 5. apríl opnuðust nýjar gossprungur norðaustan... One of the bits of news on this site. Surely they didn't start it on purpose to stop earthquakes, that's what the news says anyway. Now what. I hope it's a mistranslation, I'm not sure starting an eruption mechanically, is a good thing. As for stopping it, good luck, it's nature.
  9. There's something wrong with the air quality around here right now, there's a slight mist, which is fine, but it smell of smoke, it's burning my throat and giving me a head ache. Someone must have had a bonfire or something.
  10. Is it still possible for them to leave, or have conditions cut them off?
  11. There's a fourth cone now growing between to two new ones.
  12. One of my favourite chasers, purely for his wonderful footage, what's he doing in Iceland, I so want to go there my self now. To see the volcanoes with my own eyes of course.
  13. Some people may find this interesting. 14. You're kidding they are stirring too. Let's hope it's just a little rumble.
  15. No snow here as yet today, which actually makes a change this week. Anything expected?
  16. I think camera is ok, they just moved it to concentrate on last night's vents.
  17. Iceland bis a big eruption now, three different groupings of new cones, all multi vent., And still quite lively. I wonder what it does next.
  18. That's what I think, as it has zoomed out a bit since yesterday.
  19. I thought it was open today, has that changed?
