  1. 18Z probably closer to the result, than the 12Z, takes the low into France, I'm not a fan of 'the further south the low, the better it is) I'm a high risk reward snow fan
  2. definitely 18th Jan was great! GFS is perfect for my area, but watch it correct South and give W Midlands a pasting, boooooooooooooooo!
  3. definitely agree! that's why I never want lows to track further south with each run, we end up missing out and then normally turns milder with a whimper, bring on the attacks from the SW
  4. GFS 12Z is amazing for next Wed, great for whole Midlands, very deep FI though, I mean the low might not even exist, but if it does it will be more south than modelled, so N of region missing out
  5. polar low, isn't it like a 'runner' feature, but north to south in the flow, rather than west to east
  6. was it not 28th Jan 2004? my location didn't do so well, not much luck with that one
  7. can't really see this on models though, nothing really showed an attack from the SW
  8. again, any decent snow always deep FI and not coming closer, chance of a few flurries Mon night, but probably just wet the ground here, then turning a bit milder from Wed with temps 6-8C
  9. have that sneaking feeling as well, we do have a dry/cold week coming up, but from around 14th Jan, just feel the Atlantic may roll in
  10. normally stay further south, 90's had great ones here, with rain in the south
  11. last 2 GFS runs look snowy deep FI, feature coming in from NW, but not expecting it to come off
  12. good! like snow failing in other countries, they get enough
  13. cannot see it being snow free off that in Kent, snow free in most places though, but could be quite a bit, not just a dusting
  14. it's rubbish, it's about knowing wind direction and own location, they'd give a dry day here off NW'lys, when it will be frequent showers through the gap and every time off E'lys in Spring, early cloud for east coastal areas will burn off, when here it can linger all day, certainly until after 1pm
  15. great setups of the 90's, systems pushing up from the SW, into the cold air
  16. I'm expecting drizzle/low cloud for my area, north sea filth type setup
