  1. could we see setup like this? did this deliver for anyone? cos here it was one of my best events! like many in 90's
  2. Agree with cold not killing bugs, feel the colder it is the more chance of catching cold/corona etc, I've never had a cold family virus later than approx 25th April, or earlier than around Oct holiday week
  3. contradictory to your name, shouldn't you be called RainyG, going by your username, you should have enjoyed today
  4. what we both want then is my favourite setup, lows attacking from the SW, with mild air S of M4 and staying there after the snow
  5. what a snowfest deep FI, love the trend, lows attacking from the SW, looks like this brings less cold air in after the blizzard, but just pure fun at 240
  6. feature could be snow to rain then snow! miles better than awful GFS
  7. A lot only know basics, I do and not really bothered about massive technical posts, need idiots guide sometimes, I don't understand real technical posts! and dosen't bring you the weather you want Wilf, you live quite near my 99 year old Nan, the bus I get is 12 to Burton, she lives in King's Bromley
  8. Assume you are rain lover then? cannot understand this post, fine wanting early Spring, dry/warm 19C in Feb, but wanting 10 degrees and rain, no thanks
  9. more likely than June, here suffers from north sea filth, can last all day and feel cold, Jan dosen't bring the muck
  10. 18Z probably closer to the result, than the 12Z, takes the low into France, I'm not a fan of 'the further south the low, the better it is) I'm a high risk reward snow fan
  11. definitely 18th Jan was great! GFS is perfect for my area, but watch it correct South and give W Midlands a pasting, boooooooooooooooo!
  12. definitely agree! that's why I never want lows to track further south with each run, we end up missing out and then normally turns milder with a whimper, bring on the attacks from the SW
  13. GFS 12Z is amazing for next Wed, great for whole Midlands, very deep FI though, I mean the low might not even exist, but if it does it will be more south than modelled, so N of region missing out
  14. polar low, isn't it like a 'runner' feature, but north to south in the flow, rather than west to east
  15. was it not 28th Jan 2004? my location didn't do so well, not much luck with that one
  16. can't really see this on models though, nothing really showed an attack from the SW
  17. again, any decent snow always deep FI and not coming closer, chance of a few flurries Mon night, but probably just wet the ground here, then turning a bit milder from Wed with temps 6-8C
  18. have that sneaking feeling as well, we do have a dry/cold week coming up, but from around 14th Jan, just feel the Atlantic may roll in
  19. normally stay further south, 90's had great ones here, with rain in the south
