  1. got a new thermometer from argos today, other one was knackered completely lost signal, and did seem to be registering too high wherever i put the sensor 15.6oC on 21st dec my new one is a lexibook meteo clock, current temp 2.9oC
  2. too mild 11.4C max 10.1C now, 2nd double figure max this january, had 6 in december
  3. right or wrong but for my temp records i go from midnight to midnight, for min and max, my thermometer automatically resets at midnight to start temp for new day
  4. waaaay too young to remember it sadly, ive not seen a winter, just crappy even larger teapot cold spells
  5. back to normal sadly, is even larger teapot after all, 8.3oC now and the max so far, no cold for a while from now maybe in february, but at least dry today but not tomorrow, was a great cold spell had snow on 4th and 5th, cold from boxing day to 10th jan, but of course mainly high pressure type cold, after all 2009 now, beasts not really possible now
  6. yeah that was fantastic 9th feb, moved way further north
  7. monday 5th january 1998, said mild with rain all day, then at lunch time heaviest snow ive ever seen, think i ended up with 3 inches, cold zonality type stuff, before even larger teapot but thats my favourite wrong forecast and my most unexpected decent snow 4th jan 1998 5th jan 98 6th jan 1998
  8. same as nick really just the odd built up pile, no snowmen as snow didnt fall on a holiday or a weekend, cant see any from my window, went wednesday night -0.6C now
  9. less cold damnit no snow left 4.7oC max today, now skies just cleared 0.8oC, was 2.8oC 10 mins ago
  10. 1.8oC now, snow virtually all gone, for here id say this cold spell is petering out because of cloud, but been great, ive had frosts, fog snow ice since boxing day
  11. -2.7oC now, with snow cover, how low can i get? my lowest -6.9oC on 3rd march 06, (i started my temps on 1st dec 04)
  12. same as ajpoolshark, unexpected but my first daytime lying snow of 08/09
  13. good old winters, struggle to even get a 5 minute dusting these days here
  14. i could see similar i was clear but cloud to my NE, it did sadly spread from the NE was fully cloudy but now broken, clear to my SW to NW
  15. 6th april snow, everything white my favourite, I dont get snow now during even larger teapot, this was spring
  16. still wont clear, this area is glued to cloud cover, coldest temp now 0.8oC but still never seen frost
  17. stuck still with the NW midlands usual north sea misty low cloud, my last sub zero minimum was in early december, 2.0oC here, this misty stuff not moving until friday at the earliest, still feels bitter, but dont think it can be classed as a cold spell with no frost, snow or ice and a low of just 1.6oC since boxing day
  18. oh no hope nobody i know gets the daily mail trouble is they believe those stories, especially the express
  19. My white new year i remember it, lots of snow on new years eve eve and new years eve, and light snow all day on wednesday 1st january, the only white new year ive seen, new years day holiday thurs 2nd jan also early morning light snow proper easterly on 30th-31st dec unlike this crappy easterly
  20. wrong thread but weatheronline love the mild they are mild rampers and nild biased
  21. im 6 miles away and my pressure is 1043, temp is 2.3oC, mines probably wrong
  22. partly cloudy, was completely clear. 3.1oC coolest temp for a week
  23. merry xmas everyone, but weatherwise been mild again, max of 9.0oC first thing, now 6.6oC but at least no rain, although warmer this xmas day has been like 05 and 06
  24. 10.4oC my max, warm feeling xmas eve, way better than wind and rain, double digit temps unusual when not gales, very mild xmas day sadly but great that its dry, then colder from boxing day
