Well i'm here to report that I have just seen a rain shower pass me by. Yes thats right. rain apart from last Saturday thats the first time I have seen rain since the 20th of Feb before this cold snap arrived. Winds are coming in from the SW (also the first time in ages) and the temperature has dropped from 7c to 5c which is a bit milder of late but still quite cool. All the snow had melted apart from by six foot tall snowman! It will take more than a rainshower to melt this beauty! WBSH

Well there doesn't seem to be a thread for the 27th yet. Well the reason I want to know is cos I have just had a completely unexpected pasting. Its been snowing heavily for the past 90 minutes with only a few breaks and everything is white!! WBSH

Just had a brief but heavy snow shower about half an hour ago. It was the snow pellet kind and has given us a dusting which is a nice bonus. WBSH

Just had a heavy snow shower which started to settle on the grass and roofs where the previous snow had melted. WBSH

Snow is starting to get heavy which is good as its adding to the dusting we got this morning. WBSH

4 INCHES!!! 10CM down here in Maidstone WOW!!!!! Ok I will stop with the capital letters!...anyway it really it a whiteout out there. We had a blizzard this morning which added to the deep accumilation there already was. That has stopped and its brightening up now. It brought a tear to my eye seeing all the lttle kids playing about in the snow. They probably havn't seen so much in their lives. Anyway I am starting on my snowman and I put a ruler in the snow and it came out as just over 10cms. That amount was expected on the north downs not on lower ground!. I will enjoy it while it lasts! EXCELLENT! Snow now getting more organised and has given a nice covering. I'm hoping they will continue all night and all morning. It could be a dumping by 21ST century SE standards! WBSH :unsure: :blink:

Yeahh Just had another intense snow shower. Only lasted about 10-15mins but settled fairly well actually!... suns out again and snow is thawing but that was a lot of fun while it lasted! WBSH

Woke up to a light covering this morning in Kent. Gritters have been out. When I was out in the valleys where the roads weren't gritted it looked much more pretty! Anyway just cleared the snow of the car and made a little snowman out of it! It started snowing down pellets while I was at it which accumilated over the car slightly again. WBSH

WOW its really starting to snow AND settle!!!!!!!!

WOW... Heavy snow/hail out there has led to a slight dusting on the grass and some rooftops. Starting to end now tho... lets hope for more! WBSH

Just had a light snow shower lasting about 15 minutes here in Maisdtone. Didn't settle but at least it will cool the ground of ready for next week ... Another big black cloud has just missed me but it usually happens when its convective show showers. Very suprised that it actually snowed today even if it wasn't much. Looking promising when it can snow evn tho its not forecast. WBSH

Hi BOB, i'm actually suprised because when I saw it was snowing I went outside still in my t-shirt and I didn't feel cold at all even tho it was snowing! WBSH

Yeah the snow didn't settle down here in Kent either as the temperature is +5c. There are now two big black clouds to the north and west and a patch of blue sky to the NW. They better not miss me like they usually do WBSH
