Immediate channel coasts more likely to see rain as the air is modified somewhat here by the southerly wind, a few miles inland though and marginality wont be a problem.
Currently thinking London/N Kent and perhaps into Essex could be the sweet spot for accumulations, locally 5-10cm, perhaps higher with elevation where the low begins to pivot. Precip is already more expansive/more intense than modelling suggested.
Hoping that being 15 miles from Dover we are far enough inland to be snow!
Sleet in canterbury. Hopefully will change to snow later!

Just started to rain here, PS whatever happened last night came from the south, so might be the same tonight, who knows.
I do think we need to wait till after dark for it to happen if it is. Still foggy and cloudy in canterbury.

Are we at risk of milder air with temps making this marginal or worse as the low draws air in off the channel
I believe if right on coast then yes but inland snow. Not sure tho! Dover Folkestone might be marginal but I’d expect snow here in canterbury… fingers crossed

Got rather foggy in canterbury. Should help keep temperatures lower longer?

Got the sun out here, temp rising and a positive DP, so in same boat if anything falls. Was some strange showers yesterday evening though.
Guess it’s a good thing the snow isn’t forecast till this evening so hopefully they will drop down. Cloudy in canterbury still, hoping for a covering. Trains are currently screwed due to ice on tracks between FAV - DVP via CBE

Looks like us in east Kent will just see cold rain! Sad. Hoping for a covering here but not holding out any hope! See what happens later I guess. Is -1 here and so still. Love it so much!

Thunder seems to have gone to sleep now, still raining, wonder if this storm is like the Iceland volcano, and just napping for a bit.
Had no thunder here just heavy rain! Very heavy

Moderate rain in canterbury now!

Looks very dark in canterbury. Feels muggy and a rain/thunder storm seems imminent.

Lots of quiet thunder that sounded miles away, must have been very high, the heavy rain was louder, hence my description of it sounding like an MCs. Lightning wise, nothing visible at all.
Let’s hope for some fireworks tonight!

So everything missed whatever is causing this morning's showers then, is that good or bad?
Radar looks like Dover got pasted? Missed us sadly!

Thanks buddy and so glad you guys did so well. Think I have 1 more cold spell in me before we get that warm sun heating up the landmass and creating spring convection. Looks like another year of Uk Storms for me this year so hoping our little part of the world has more luck with Storms than 2020. Dont think Tornado Alley is on the cards anytime soon so my beloved Supercells will have to wait another year, hoping to get down to Dungeness for some Imports and watch some Storms roll in from La France.
We got about 5/6cm last night. Ended with 12/13cm which is a good total. 3rd highest I have seen here! 1st being 2010 when we had around 30cm and 2018 when we had 18. Hopefully one more cold spell which would be fab. I would love to do that one day in America! Hopefully we can get some cracking storms this summer!

Surely canterbury is in line for some snow later or let would take us off the warning!
