  1. Yeah great sight I've been watching the progress on and off all day . Slowly creeping closer all seems to be going west of most of us at the moment but as we know all can change very quickly and with the heat tomorrow. Boooom
  2. Well a lovely day today on my day off which makes a huge change. We took the kids to Chessington world of adventures which was superb today no Qs anywhere so straight on and off rides . Got a tan too now so not quite so milky white like before. Hope the storms come but not during the night as the kid is terrified she just saw the forecast and said thunder daddy Nooo I don't like it.
  3. Wow I suppose that just shows what is sometimes someone's joy is another ones pain if you understand what I mean. My dad was a plumber and also a Avid WW2 historian . One day when I was young he explained there where tanks running the taps into the block of flats I lived in. I took it the wrong way and had nightmares for at least a year, I still remember them now . I agree
  4. Thanks . I only have i phone earphones but she may except them if worried but you have given me an idea with a small cd radio player I have with nursery ryhmes etc . I never thought of that so :-)
  5. I'm caught between two sides tonight .from a personal point of view I want to see and hear lots of thunder and lightning tonight and tmrw . But my 3 year old has become absolutely terrified of it since storms last year and used to have sleepless nights for a couple of months after. This faded away . However the squall about 10 days ago maybe sooner produced a massive strike here and her fears are only again just been easing. I'm not sure what to do tonight but I might just show her through the windows and try to explain as comforting her without sight would keep mystery and mind wondering . What do you think any tips ??
  6. So not the greatest of days today weather wise. We did indeed see a second band of rain come through which was quite a thin line throughout the region. It was my little girls 3rd birthday party today and decided a month ago after great debate too have it in a hall. So in a funny way I'm happy it was not great as Paying money for a hall just for the sun to shine all day would have been painful . Let's hope the coming few weeks brings warm sunshine to us all and maybe a few thunderstorms, although my little one is not a fan of them at the moment after a strike the other days
  7. A lovely day here now and it feels warmer today as here the breeze is not as pronounced as yesterday . I wish this weather could continue. It can rain at night lol. I can wait for my snow fix until winter as had been mentioned it wouldn't come to much now anyway and would do more harm to the gardens. Enjoy the sun everyone ☀ï¸
  8. Lovely day here and feels pleasantly warm in the garden. It makes a change for me to pick a decent week to have a holiday even if things do go down hill on Friday. Here there is a possibility of a few wet flurries of snow next week in heavier showers. What a shock that would be. !!
  9. Quite a squall went through here around 1pm the wind got up to quite a gale blowing bins down the street had some heavy rain followed by hail and some sleety stuff. It has been a nice afternoon since
  10. Saw an impressive rainbow this evening as the storm squall line went through. It was getting dark so orange skies to the west and a rainbow and lighning show to the east . My 2 year old daughter loved it and was full of questions . Was going to post at the time but was watching my team win the cup
  11. Heavy rain in wimbledon but didn't expect anything more. Had a dusting of snow on Saturday morning which was nice.
  12. March a couple of years ago produced great snow events if memory Serves me right. Need a change of fortune quick though. Having said that I've seen falling snow on 5 different days in the last week. Much better than last year x5
