Depends on what an individual sees as summer ? For some it’s not Heat and Sun , Plenty to keep the storm enthusiasts going for the foreseeable for example , I also see no raging jet stream in the outlook either but I know through experience to expect the unexpected. Perhaps also an Indian summer in Autumn that would be great . Anyway a bit off topic so I shall pipe down now and wait for the evening runs especially the Navgem ( better than the GFS )

I haven’t given the Mighty Navgem an outing for a while so here it is . It’s much slower to my eye anyway in clearing the heat . incidentally has anyone noticed that recently the navgem’s uppers has fallen largely in line with the other models? Perhaps an upgrade? ( Ahem ) I see a post or Two claiming Summer is over . I suppose we can write off Winter too whilst we are at it . What Nonsense .

South East and East Anglia Weather Discussion Sept 2019 onwards

Yeah we recorded 36c eventually I noticed just how much scorched the grass is compared to Wiltshire for example , Devon is still luscious green . We come off at Sunbury instead of the M25 as I noticed the journey time jumped by 30mins very quickly. We was lucky as I had a 2nd phone to reset the sat nav , I’ve come back to a boiling hot house too . Fans on full go and all the windows wide open , We also have the occasional strong whiff of marijuana coming in to the house but I can’t stand the heat so I will put up with it tonight . oh to be back in suburbia London . We asked my Father whilst we was away to do 3 things , Feed the fish , Remove apples and keep the parsley plant going . I guess he forgot one of them -

Cheerio again Abruzzi , Always a powder keg with you for some reason it was only in jest so why the flippant comment ? And why should people tread so carefully? Anyway Thanks Daniel for your inputs the last few days in the different forums , please don’t let posts like these get you down . My Holiday in Devon is brilliant so far but the weather is not on my side given the current set up , we was plagued by cloud yesterday and then again today from 10am until the cloud went by 4pm . Any way a nice trip to the castle ( Powderham ) and then a swim at the complex was nice , Perhaps the Beach tomorrow. Hope the heat is not to bad back in the south east , Looks good for some fireworks next week . -

I have to agree with regards to the Ukmo , I thought to myself earlier today when I was backing the model that ( I bet it goes T up now I’ve said that ) and Hey Ho it does . Oh well we all know that they all can all be wrong even at 48 hours out as we all learned a few years ago . -

I have to say I’ve also been on this forum for years and if I’ve learnt anything from the models ( runs ) is that if the Ukmo doesn’t budge it needs to be taken extremely seriously and is likely to verify especially at short ranges and certainly over the GFS . I’ve seen it copious of times especially in winter when all other models especially the gfs have shown easterlies and the Ukmo doesn’t and the Ukmo comes out on top . nothing is certain but I know where my money is and it’s not GFS. -

I’m sure someone used to post a UKMO 168hrs Chart ? Is that not available anymore , I take it its behind some sort of paywall . -

I see Heathrow has reached almost 26c today despite the apps and forecasts I’ve seen only predicting maxes of 23c today . Beautiful day here , On visiting my garden this morning I have discovered we have a badger that has dug up several holes ? in my garden .
