Yes, what a great forecaster he was/is.. I always watched his forecasts because he provided analysis in layman's terms - made it really interesting and was a catalyst for my interest in meteorology

I do love the MetOffice nowcast warnings, issued at 2008 hrs, a warning for snow in the SE. They'll never get it wrong

Snowshield has just energised its warp factor defcon 10 kettle heating element. Holding strong, no flakes in sight. We're in line for a pasting later though

Its absolutely incredible isn't it? All these pages and pages of discussion on the MOD thread about whats going to happen when and to whom is all just pie in the sky. Its just normal winter here, warnings and predictions have come and gone. I am sure Ian F said that we should all have a dusting down here by now because MOGREPs and whatever said so, not that I can find the blimmin quote.... I might as well go and look at Metcheck.... and that's really sticking the knife into the experts ! And to top it off, its been so mild the grass needs cutting again

Well my old mans a dustman, he wears a dustmans hat, he wears cor blimey trousers and he lives in a council flat. Here on hols in South Devon its 8 degrees. It rained yesterday and as for snow, well there's a snowballs chance in hell of that...
