Yup just had to go out in it again as plant is failing! Painful in the face lol What's the projected duration. Even though its came down here for a short time there is only a bit on the ground but this is on the steel works. Is it deeper on the streets?

Wow. Currently out round the old mines in scunny and then next heading up to risby top. Snow is pelting it down. Going out on a bang

Sunny is currently 0.2 degrees DP of -2.5 degrees The coldest it's been for a few days during daylight hours.

What is the projected motion of the second heavier band of the precipitation. Looks to me that its slightly moving northwards as it travels over the uk! Think the heavier stuff will hit more north of England ! Maybe Newcastle area!! Hope we go out on a BANG in scunny !

Could you explain what you mean about he weakening of the polar vortex and how that could effect us. Bit of a weather newbie.

Well if the weather is going to go out with a bang let it be an atomic explosion. Then lets have a period of mild (so I can get to play a week or so of footy) before the snow and cold (all been well) comes flooding back. Should make my night shift interesting on Friday! Actually I take that back looking at that low that is going to hit the country in the next few days! One extreme to the other! Going to b a wet stormy period for some with floods ?

2.2 degrees 1.3 degrees DP Light rain Rapid thaw I would be happy to wake up in the morning and all of the snow to be gone and be ready to reload and take another snowmaggedon event in February all been well. Surprised its gone so quickly especially after latest weather reports but it has to o at some point.

Could someone please post a rather dumbed down explanation of what all the forecasting models are predicting as the forum page for this really does go flying over my head. I understand its becoming mid but is it predicting or how long and I understand it can change run by run!

No I really don't either! I'm just more bemused about that area around brum appearing out of nowhere. How does this occur I'm very new to looking at weather -
Well here's hoping your areas get what you want from this front. And then please pass it our way It just seems to be on a similar path to that ppn (that's appearing our of thin air which I really don't understand as this is all very new to me) over the brum area. It also seems to be moving at a fast speed !!!

Hey there. Is there something building around the Birmingham area that is appearing on radar? It seems to be heading in the region of lincs and east yorks. Also that area of ppn in the south west. Is that to stay down in that neck of the woods or head north or north east?

Seems to be a little activity around Birmingham that is heading in the direction of Lincoln , Donny and scunny area??!! Outs better than nowt! Lol Did similar not happen a week ago that went un reported ??!!! Produced a good covering.

Yeh I saw him say that but this site is saying its later tonight and in to the early hours!!!! I don't know. I will not be up watching radars till 5am in the mornin as I did last night. I was like a kid on Xmas eve. Even when I went to bed I got up every 25 mins to see if it was still snowing!!!! Really getting on the wife's nerves but even she would still end the rant at me with "is it still snowing" She loves it as much as me ( secret snowfan )

One site That I look at (uk storm chaser on fb) is commenting on a developing trough that could bring a chance of snow to East Yorkshire and north lincs ??!!! Anyone know where abouts this is developing (if at all) and what A trough is???!!!!
