  1. I just come back from getting the shopping done early, rather do it before the snow gets here. So you reckon Northants is still good for snow overnight tonight then, what about tomorrow ?
  2. BBC Radio Northampton keep saying that the snow is going to move in from the North and West to give substantial accumilations later/overnight/tomorrow morning and more to come after that lot. Seems difficult to believe, i know, bit like the calm before the storm!
  3. Thats what i was thinking from looking at radar but its supposed to beef up a lot later and give us the business, still, i will believe it when i see it happening
  4. I also heard on Radio Northampton a little earlier that they say this is likely to continue for *some* weeks yet.
  5. BBC Radio Northampton I refuse to get remotely excited anyway until it actually happens, i know better these days!, too many let-downs in the past..
  6. They have just said again on local radio that Snow is definately on its way for Northampton, later this afternoon, this evening and probably through the night too!
  7. ENJOY!!! Dont forget if you can get some pictures or video
  8. Well if we are, that will be a first time, can never remember that happening before here in Northampton.
  9. Sorry, wasn`t trying to rub it in or anything, thats called VERY unlucky!
  10. I dont know if anyone else has noticed the RED warnings on MetO website, i just got back home and spotted it WOW!!
  11. That`s fair enough Nick, i know it`s very hard to give actual figures just wanted a good idea of what Northampton will (maybe) be getting. Thanks
  12. Thanks for the very prompt reply Nick! So it`s very much game on then !
  13. Would this by any chance include Northampton area ?
  14. Seems very likley the case, it`s going to cause some fun and games in many many places ... let the fun begin
  15. Well if the experts can`t decide what hope is there for us lot! As people have said keep an open mind as there may well be the occasional surprise in store, this is Britain, anythings possible!
  16. Oh that was so funny, weathergirl came on the local radio to give her prediction of whats happening over next 3 days, she didn`t have a clue!! She did admit though that the setup is so complicated that they were doing the "at the moment this is what is expected" forcast. She did say though its likely to change and to keep checking the usual site for up to date forcasts. I have not heard a forcast like that for a long time, she was almost completely stuck as to what to say to start with
  17. Weather forcaster on local radio, forget his name now, has just said that snow will start to fall he thinks around the rush hour tomorrow morning and gradually get heavier through the day. Dont know what other areas that will also apply to though. He also made a point of saying that we could get an inch or two in just a single heavy snow shower!
  18. General information here about the Snow to come this week http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8439087.stm
  19. Some is having a laugh up there!!!
  20. I really hope we get a good dumping this week, but what really narks me off is the kids have just had two weeks xmas holiday, back to school today, 2 inches of snow expected tomorrow alone here at least, schools will be shutting early tomorrow and quite expect them to end up having the rest of the week off due to the snow and schools staying shut! When i was at school, we never had any of this unless the heating failed. I used to walk to school with snow up to my knees!. I survived and it did me know harm!, bloody legs ached by the time i got to school though lol Toooo many health and safety issues nowadays! On the bright side, good luck to everyone! Cant blame you, i would be the same if still at school, wasn`t so lucky in my day but fair play to you
