Confused by the radar....earlier it said snow, got none. Now I’m in a clear patch and it’s heavier than ever.
Maybe I don’t live where I think I do

Back edge is dying by the way...
It is over here unfortunately...and I do pride myself at being good at reading radar and extrapolating, and the grass will be staying nice and green. More snow from the frost this morning...ridiculous!
Strangely we got the most snow where it was light blue on the radar...
Waiting for a dark blob now to see what that brings

I've not even got that mate and I'm not that far away from you. Think there maybe a slight 'snow' shadow effect from the downs going on here. As I said we are in the screw zone...and even the back end looks utterly pathetic...like tonight here....pathetic.
I was feeling as hopeless as you 30mins ago but it's not over yet

Coming downs finely but realiably here on the western flank. My guess would be 1cm by morning but just nice to see everything white.

Small bit of caution that the PPN is really dying off fast at the moment and I’m not far from the coast. Hoping some stronger bands come through.

Cool, your about 10-15 miles further south of me, so I'm expecting it in the next 20-30 minutes in that case.
Yup, we didn't get anything in the light band, only when the heavy hit so don't fear

Snow starting here, 15 miles N of Portsmouth

It will diminish (probably) as it makes landfall.
Ah ok thanks (damn)

I get the "still at sea" comments but it won't be later when it's colder?

Small upgrade on the GFSP 12Z in terms of the back edge staying as snow.

No snow but very icy underfoot & took the car a while to defrost. An upgrade for me tomorrow luckily so might get first lying snow of the season...might..

Almost done over here, certainly some good potential for you lot out east if your temps drop quick enough. There was plenty of precip just it was too wet before. Good luck

Snow in the air, slush on the car and water on the ground.

Still rain here, though more sleety than before. I'm not that far from you but you've got about 90M on me, and that's making the difference. I think it'll turn to snow for me right on the back end, which at least will be nice to finally see some this winter I suppose!
Still looking decent enough for places further east of me however, especially as you have time advantage.
We got a heavy blob which I think is what did it, not sure it covered you up there. Think you're right about that back edge, soon be past us though!

Snow finally but far too wet to settle 1c and dp -1c

Hate to be the negative one but DP has actually risen here

Temps just aren't dropping enough here with high humidity & all rain so far but I'm quite south.

Moderate rain and a stubborn 4c here far west of the region.

3.8c now.
I use this snow risk calculator which is usually fairly accurate once the figure gets to 70%.

My guess would be 2cm here so pretty much spot on predictions but just happy to see everything white. Off for a walk then really I should get back to work instead of looking at models.
