I suspect that, as so many of us appear to have 'slept through it', nothing did happen?
My bin moved a few meters then fell over...does that count?

GFS 12z first hints of dropping the storm well to the mad intensity that we have seen lately, be Intresting to see how this goes, lots of runs still to get through
True for south England at 96h but 105h has the first large shade of 140 knot I've seen in any of the runs so far on. The intensity is still there but seems a little more localised around the East coast. The trend will indeed be interesting.

Still snowing in north Portsmouth but never actually got that heavy - think the hard stuff just missed me to the south, perhaps went over the city. In fact I think there's a simultaneous thaw going on which is odd!
According to the radar, could be light snow until midday?
We had an additional light dusting just north of you too. Something must have happened overnight as I had to get another 1-2cm off the car this morning.

Went to bed with it snowing and woke up to it still snowing. Lost count of the times I've had to de-snow the car. Despite many here writing it off on Saturday, I'd say it's been a decent snowy spell, especially for March.

It's a funny one as we're so close to the Sussex border, I post in the SE thread if I'm over that way but generally I find the SW thread lovelier, slower and more chilled. There's a few of us here but E Hants folk seem to be rare.
It did kick off on the SE thread last night so I have no trouble believing that it's lovelier over here

Epically heavy snow after a day of quiet, heaviest I've seen this year. Ground getting covered and filling in the sparse bits, yipeeee!
You're right by me but I've been posting in the SE thread...are there many S.Hampshire folk on this one?

Went to sleep while we were under a blob and it didn’t disappoint. Plenty here and still snowing.
Hoping after the negativity and fall outs last night that everyone has theirs!

Finallly coming down and settling nicely here. My lamp post is earning its keep.

I agree it's frustrating when it's so cold, the clouds so heavy but not much falling. However we are only 12 hours into a 48 hour event so too early to get upset.
At least we have interesting weather with lots of potential, the alternative is miserable mildish greyness.

Knowing this thread I'm quite surprised no one has caved in yet.
Exactly my thinking. Maybe all too scared of getting banned before the big event.

GFS precipitation type has a lot of our region under snow for 30 hours. Clearly it won't be totally accurate but surely lots to be optimistic about. Our main snow last time came from something that wasn't forecast.

First chance to compare the model with the radar. Looks accurate so far.
