On a different topic..in the last thread it took us 4 years to hit 396 pages..its taken us a month month hit 99 (unless this post takes us to 100)..great to see so much activity in here and hopefully our thread can go from strength to strength. Some great posts in here over the last month!

Wet and windy at times out there this morning. A cold wind aswell but it brightened up at times as well. Would anyone be kind enough to give me a brief lowdown of the possible weather for the week ahead. Thanks in advance

It's wetter than an otters pocket out there this morning.....still 13 miles should running in it will save me showering. Not holding out any hope for snow this weekend but it can all change!

I gave up in there a few weeks ago. Shame that some of the old wiser heads don't post anymore and those with sometimes sensible outlooks get shot down in flames...much prefer in here, knowledgeable but very friendly and welcoming

No-one staying up tonight then lamppost watching? Has snow for blackwood tomorrow from 11am onwards with the met office, 9 am bbc. Either way I'm still out for my weekend long run, but I think its going to be a very much hit or miss tomorrow weather wise?

I shall throw a snowball down the valley ...all jokes aside it may correct southwards again of the next 24 hours and blackwood may be marginal so I wouldn't get to despondent just yet!

The way this models are chopping and changing we may know less

Tends to be 9 times out of 10 that there is always an adjustment south. If this is the case this weekend we have the advantage that the band of wintery perception (I won't say snow because who knows what it will be ) is already further north so won't hopefully sink off into the channel or France.

Hmm.. met office going for heavy snow...bbc going for heavy rain ....met the battle of the forecasts commence (and change several times over the next 36-48 hours) . Far to many swings and roundabouts to get around and over first to call anything yet

Bbc (at the moment) at the moment going for light snow am...heavy snow p.m till 5ish then sleet before turning to rain over night (blackwood on their forecast)

Quick question...how well do people think last weekends snow was forecast by the TV forecasts in terms of depth and areas affected? I am in no way trying to imply that they had it wrong or anything like that it's just more out of curiosity

I'm personally looking at the weekend as a more favourable chance of significant snow..I may be wrong as I have only briefly skimmed the models this morning so please feel free to correct me if I have interrupted these wrong!!!

It's been a great weekend in this forum guys. Really enjoyed reading all your posts and seeing pics and videos. Hopefully we will be doing the same again next week! Let's hope so

Snowing again in blackwood.... which is handy because I just got back from a 2 hour run and we had some snowshowers on the way around aswell as a frozen beard I must update my location
