Will be much happier when we get to tommorow evenings runs and then Saturdays. Been snow starved for to long now for it all to be a non event. Fingers crossed for all of us that we get some snow

Completely agree with this.yes its going to be mild for a few days/week but there's signs of potential there for a cool down and maybe more. I'm staying positive til February lol

Just got back from a 10k run tonight...was aboustley freezing to begin with anyway. On the cusp of something special this year I think

Well its been an emotional topsy turvy ride in the mod thread the last few days....the trend is there though for something way better than the mild mush feat we endured last year!

After a few toy throwing incidents and tantrums in the mod thread today this evening's run have got everybody back in the polar express frame of mind....I really hope we get lucky this year. Yes today has been awful and I hope nobody got flooded a month before christmas but at least after tonight it looks like we are going to have a week or so to dry out

Had snow and big winds here at 5am, didn't settle but was still lovely to see..come on winter let's rock and roll

To many let downs in previous winters.i think it was boxing day 2 years ago models said snow,met office said snow we all here said snow and then as the front moved in dew points raised and it rained...when I see it falling I shall believe it!! It would be lovely to see it tho and as long as charts like the ones above are posted for cold weather with snow potential it should be a real good winter this year⛷⛷⛷

I think that some members in there need to remember scenes like this across the county last winter and the autumn/winter before...I'm sure many are just glad that it's pleasant at the moment...plenty of time for the cold to set in if it does indeed arrive

I am more bemused by the model thread.....a few poor runs today and it's meltdown in there!its safer in here lol.real potential for this weekend aswell!!!

A lot of talk in the mod thread over the last 24 hours...the big guns in there saying blocking and cold looking more likely after slightly milder spell mid month from what I can make out

To be getting snow warnings in November has to be an improvement on last year already... plenty of autumn left before we get to winter proper..all the right rumblings are being made in the model thread aswell as a few contributions from some of our own members in this group.keep everything crossed that everything falls into place.lets keep this group alive as when it's busy in here it's a great read
